Rank 14 grind wasn’t made for you. It isn’t for everyone. It certainly isn’t for me.
That is a good thing.
EDIT: It wouldn’t be better for you if they made the gear obtainable via rated battlegrounds. Rank 14 weapons would probably only be available for what would be the Classic version of “Hero of the (faction)”, which would probably be a single team per server or less.
And no, you wouldn’t be able to beat people who play WoW for 12-15 hours a day in a rated battleground.
