Do you think primal lava actuators legendary + lava lash conduit + hot hands will see some play in single target?
You mean the buff that comes to us in the form of an anima power in Torghast?
No not really, unless you like gearing/spec’ing/crafting for your Torghast runs.
Might be worth it at the higher layers when they come, but outside of Torghast we don’t get that nice 500% damage buff and Flame Shock spread.
Or are you perhaps talking about something else? The 40% buff is pretty lame tbh, and is probably just to help the torghast power feel more impactful.
I low-key tried to use the windfury glitch for double weapon buff with flametongue for exactly this, to see if I could get a higher proc rates for hot hands.
While it did work, it’s since been fixed. Hot hands procd a lot more with double flametongue but even then, with primal lava actuators, the dmg didn’t compete with doom winds or wolf bones (at least for me).
I currently even do more dmg using lashing flames and sky breakers demise for enhance than I do running primal lava actuators, which makes me laugh a bit.
You might see it in pvp if peeps get bored with doon winds. Combined with Ele blast you can get some good burst, but the unreliable rng of hot hands is just that, unreliable.
That’s too bad.
It would have been fun to be able to rapid fire dump a bunch of buffed lava lashes.
Doomwinds until the end of time, I guess.
It seems to be TC’d that it might have some niche use on fights that don’t quite “agree” with DW windows but to echo the above, it’s extremely unlikely to dethrone DW entirely.
A bit of a necro, but there are very few posts on the Actuators. Hot Hands oddly doesn’t seem to synergize with the actuators as well as I’d hoped. The more frequent use of lavalash consumes the actuator buffs, so I’m not sure that the overall effect of that talent is as strong as I had hoped. Still a dps increase, but you may be better off with the stormstrike 25% for 40% talent, especially to build Maelstrom.
If the talent specifically did not consume the buff, but still benefited from the buff (of the actuators) then it would be a strong option to doomwinds I think.
