With the game as alt friendly as it has become

It would be cool if, rather than limiting themselves to the straight jacket of the factions, bliz used exclusivity to do more quests that are mini heritage, touching on the cultures of the various races and all that.

Like in spirit I think most everyone liked the idea of heritage quests, and the dracthyr exclusive quests in DF were a good way to quickly ground the new race in their homeland (and also getting extra greetings from mommystrasza is always good), and one of the few things people loved about HoT in GW2 was that Sylvari (for those who don’t play GW2 their version of elves are dryads who were created to serve one of the great dragons you fight in that expansion) got a whole b-side storyline to themselves.

I just feel like there could be room for more of that if they keep sticking to more neutral storylines; Warlords could have been that for orcs and draenei but imo failed at it, DF did that to some extent for the Dracthyr but could have done more, I guess TWW might have room to do that for Titan babies (especially dwarves and possibly goblins if the rumored undermine patch turns out to be true), Midnight for elves and so on.

IDK where I’m going with this specifically other than having “sidebar” quests for specific races whose themes are more focused on by an expansion (like the Dracthyr got in DF), especially now that it’s so easy to alt, could be a cool way forward for specific storytelling that remained free of the prison that is the factions.
