That’s because bat-eared foxes have extra teeth
stick to ham and pineapple pizza after and you be ok.
Worst part for me was the clown oral surgeon who missed my IV and did it a second time without telling me he was going to go again.
Day of pain after was nada. Little soreness after. Not a ton of bleeding. But it can vary a lot. My son had his out relatively young and he had quite a lot of pain.
I was back to normal food in about 3 days, but it can take 5 or more. But even before that I did some mac and cheese with ground beef which was fine
Takes about a week or 2 to heal enough for solid foods but nothing crunchy or anything with small seeds/particles, maybe a full month or so to fully heal.
Make sure you’re delicately rinsing with salt water every day, especially after eating, it helps the healing process a lot and prevents infection.
Eating salty soup was my go to, pasta was another good one, I made myself a big batch of chocolate pudding beforehand too for a sweet treat.
well first you will be put on antibiotics for a bout a week if you already did this
it was ok i only need to remove 1 due to my other side had a tooth knocked out so no problems.
So like the surgery and recovery were great for me. I didn’t even need the hydros they gave me after, because i wasn’t in any pain. Not being able to use straws, or lift anything over 10lbs, and having to rinse with salt water were annoying, but you really really don’t want to get a dry socket.
It was after it was finished with my course of antibiotics and steroids that things went south (the sterioids were to keep it from getting enflamed because of how close to the bone they had to go). It turned out that i was actually allergic to the penicillin i was taking the entire time, and the steroid was actively suppressing the allergic reaction for the entire time as well. So i turned into a lobster for like 2 solid weeks after that. It was miserable, my skin was just on fire the entire time.
Anyway, make sure you know what you’re allergic to. Your oral surgeon/dentist will usually give you a timeline of what you gotta do each day for the following week or so, and when you can go back to eating normal
Depends, if they are impacted then yea its gonna hurt imma be real with you, ill i could eat was icecream.
if they came out normally then it actually isnt that bad, just got to keep the hole clean
i was eating solid food the second day but just very slowly. i’d still go with something soft-ish though.
i also remember crying to my mom that i couldn’t eat my burger (that i apparently begged for and don’t remember). i think she filmed it lol
Dry socket is not an infection, but where the blood clot at the site is the tooth extraction is dislodged or doesn’t form, exposing the bone and nerve endings.
It really does depend on who’s doing it. Mine were impacted on the left side and needed to be surgically removed, but it didn’t hurt at all after i was done despite the gaping holes in the back of my mouth. Meanwhile one of my coworkers got his done a month after mine somewhere else, his were a standard removal, and he was in a lot of pain afterwards.
A Navy dentist took two of mine out and the next day the right side of my face was swelled up the size of a pumpkin. Knocked out for two days. Took me fifteen years (and a lot of pain) to work up the courage for the other two. It was a cakewalk, went to work the next day. I guess it depends on the dentist.
I got dry socket even though I DID follow the instructions! It was seriously painful, I called the oral surgeon over the weekend because the Tylenol 3 they sent me home with was not enough. Thankfully he knew which pharmacy was open on Sunday and called in something stronger to get me through until an appointment Monday.
I’m fine now but that was not a good weekend. My point though is that if it really freaking hurts, something is wrong and let them know, they can help!
I never got it done either. Not sure about it being a scam though - probably just unnecessary for most people
I’ve heard anecdotal accounts of wisdom tooth removal somehow leading to a smaller jawline. Supposedly it sort of “anchors” a section of the jaw, so after it’s removed the jaw bone is more prone to bone loss. Or something along those lines
back in the day you went to the barbershop to get a tooth pulled
Not long for me, but I had mine pulled in the Navy, so I had no time to feel the pain.
Had 2 taken out in my late 20s. No issue. Doc did localized injection anesthetic and popped them each out in about 40 minutes. They didn’t stitch my sockets, just gave antibiotics & told me to use syringe & some topical cleaner for the area to clean after eating. Swelling was gone in about 12 hours. Jaw pain was maybe 6, and the ache was actually only from having to keep my maw open that long for the procedure. The tooth areas didn’t bother me at all.
