Unlike a druid form or a mere polymorph that may lift upon death,[5] the worgen curse has altered the individual in mind body and soul. When a worgen is killed, a worgen body remains, fur and all.[1][2][5] So too does the soul itself retain the curse, as visiting spirits of slain worgen appear in worgen form.[3][4]
