Winterspring Cub Daily Quest Does not Spawn

The Winterspring Cub does not spawn the daily quest.

When initially starting the quest, I was party synced with one other player who had also not done the quest before.

Initially we were given the daily quest, and the quest was completed without issue.

However, since the first daily quest was completed, the other person nor I have recieved another daily quest regardless of if we’re party synced or not.

-- Workarounds Tried --

  • Quest has been abandoned and restarted while not in party sync
  • Recalled / Spawned Winterspring Cub pet in several placed around Winterspring
  • Pet has been walked a significant distance around the map
  • Tried to spawn quest for the last 5 days
  • Forums and knowledgebase articles have been searched
  • No related issues were seen on Google
  • Tried clearing room off my quest log

-- Replication Steps --

  1. Complete all Rivern Frostwind’s quest up to “They Grow Up So Fast” while party synched, with both players as Alliance
  2. Accept the first daily quest and complete it while still party synched
  3. Leave Winterspring, then log off until the next day (approx. ~24hr)
  4. Travel back to Winterspring
  5. Spawn Winterspring Cub pet
  6. Winterspring Cub pet does not present a blue “!” above its head no matter the duration it’s out, the location it’s spawned in, nor the distance walked with it

  • The other player did mention this had happened to her and a few other friends of hers during different mount-related daily quests; is this a common issue I should be aware of?
  • I have only been playing WoW for ~2 weeks, so I may be missing something here.

Hmmmm. The only thing I can think of is queuing dungeons or PvP with the pet out. Sometimes it bugs and will spawn with you and a new daily. I was able to get multiple dailies per day by accident this way.

One weird thing to note - my pet works outside of Winterspring, and I dont think this is supposed to happen.

I’ve launched a support ticket into this, so hopefully they’re able to provide more info.
