The changes made to Wintergrasp this patch wasn’t enough.
It’s still a mindless win for the Defensive team. It’s not even close to balanced.
SR is almost always what’s zerged, and the defending team can get there first and setup the choke point.
(if nothing else, at least balance the starting locations so they both reach the workshops at the same time)
The main issue is, it takes zero strategy or skill to defend wintergraps… However, it takes 40 strangers on offense to be coordinate and worked together on the same walls/capture points, etc. to win. (this almost NEVER happens in a 10 man BG, let alone a 40 man)
The organization that is needed for a offensive team to win Wintergrasp is 100 times that of the defensive team.
This BG can’t be balanced, and since it doesn’t have rounds to make it fair, it must be removed.
(and just curious… why am I ALWAYS placed on the offensive side? For being random It’s sure not random. Since the Xpac was released I’ve played WG 87 times, with me being on defense 8 times… Hmm… something is wrong with that!)

Well I lost today on defense as Alliance. Guess the Matchmaker is rigged. Blizzard employees are terrorists.
As a horde, we lost it in under 10 mins. Ally killed a few at SR, Massed catas and demos, then went straight through all the walls. 6 minutes.
I haven’t lost a Wintergrasp Offense yet after prepatch.
100% win rate on Wintergrasp Offense.
(I haven’t gotten any Defense games though, so I’ll see how those go.)

Ironically, before they rebalanced it, I played Wintergrasp offense the other day, and we won in like 10 minutes. I even got some sort of achievement for it. First time I was ever on a winning team playing offense.

Ditto. Had one defense and one offense match since Tuesday. Won them both.

Well, I don’t know what’s going on… maybe blizzard hates me, but so far since the patch I’ve now played WG 18 times. 3 times I was on Defense and 15 times I was on Offense. I’ve lost this BG 15 times.
Not a single win from Offense, the closest we got was 1 wall down.
It’s too easy to defend. This BG isn’t balanced at all.
Won 4 games straight on offense in the last 2 days .
Both sides can atleast finally win now .
Won all my defense games. It still seems heavily D favored. Mass catas and win. It’s not hard

One thing I’ve found that helps is to have a few people clip the wall on the west side by the last turret. There’s a point in the edge of the outcropping where you’ll get stuck if you jump at it. From there you can dismount, hop up, remount, then split up and kill the turrets.
Helps your initial push.
