I’m not seeing any other threads on this but I keep having a windows cmd/power shell window pop up every time I have the launcher open. As there are no screen shots, I’ll put the contents here -

I can click past it to get to the launcher and play WoW but it keeps popping up and i’m not sure how to stop it.

Hey there,

That’s very strange. I’m not aware of anything in the Battle.net app itself that would be causing this logging in cmd prompt / powershell. Perhaps it is another program running in the background that is interfacing with the Battle.net app somehow. PluginLog sounds very generic and there’s nothing telling from the log output.

You could try rebooting using Selective Startup then test opening the Battle.net app again to see if it doesn’t happen. Maybe that would help narrow down if there’s something else running that is causing it to pop up.

  1. Press Windows Key + R .
  2. Type msconfig and press Enter .
  3. Select Selective startup and uncheck Load startup items .
  4. Select the Services tab.
  5. Check Hide all Microsoft services .
Note : Skipping this step may prevent your computer from rebooting correctly.
  6. Click Disable all .
  7. Click Apply then click OK .
  8. Click Restart

If that doesn’t work I’d recommend trying a clean reinstall of the Battle.net app itself.

  1. In Windows 10 go to Start → Settings
  2. Click on Apps
  3. Uninstall the Battle.net app
  4. Press Windows key + R
  5. Type the following into the Run window and hit Enter: %APPDATA%
  6. Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%
  8. Lastly reinstall the Battle.net app

FWIW, the battle.net launcher is a distinct product from World of Warcraft and has its own support forum, in which you might find other insights.

So I tried the first solution which at this moment seems to have worked. As it turned off some key access to things like my Razor synapse etc I had to turn some things back on one by one. The one last thing I did not turn on was Overwolf. At this point I have not gotten the cmd/powershell pop up again so it may possibly have been that! Thanks for helping me fix this (knock on woood it sticks!)

I spoke to soon… It’s back! :frowning: Going to try reinstalling the launcher now.
