I’m planning on fishing 10-15 minutes before log-off each night. It is going to be my pre-sleep meditation.

That’s a great idea. I usually come home late at night and everyone is asleep. That’s a great idea to wind down.
As a previous poster mentioned, I plan to do this at work on my side laptop, when i go back to work after first weeks’ PTO. That, and crafting seem like a reasonable thing i can do at work, which doesnt require alot of “hands on”. I need to look busy if boss strolls by my office.

No. In fact, I will never level fishing.
I still remember 15 years ago when I first tossed my line into the water outside Ratchet. I remember watching it twitch and reeling in a fish. I remember saying to myself, “my god, this might be the most boring thing I’ve ever done” and immediately stopped with a fishing skill of 6. Where it stayed for 15 years…

This was how I was going to do it. You actually save time leveling it all at once while you’re there in the zones instead of dinging 60 and then going BACK to same places you already were

Nope. It will cut into my leveling and gearing time. Maybe once I am pbis and just waiting on raids I will.
If I play - everything will be leveled along the way. First Aid. Cooking. Fishing.
Why go back and do it - that’ll make for a boring grind. I’ll level it up as I’m going, as it’s all a part of the journey.

Absolutely; to help our hunter, save coin, give me something to do while the family mines/herbs/crafts; on the stress test I fished up a freakin’ green 2hd sword-in Dun Morogh!
Under what circumstances would fishing really be required? Maybe for some alchemy recipes? Are there cooking recipes that offer buffs like in retail?
5 skill a lvl takes like 3 minutes. Seems like something id rather stop and do then do 3 hours all at once. Also the little things will be more use while leveling then while im 60.
I work on fishing slowly throughout the leveling process. I’ll use one [Shiny Bauble] or some other 10 minute fishing buff and fish until it runs out. Then I’ll either cook the fish or save it for my pet. Do it once a day or once every x hours. Doing it this way doesn’t feel all that grindy for me, though I do enjoy fishing/cooking anyway.
I plan on leveling all my profs after i hit 60. It feels awkward to finish a quest area but have to stay for the materials in the area.
I loved fishing in classic. I always leveled fishing and cooking while I played. At least until you get to that brutal chain quest with Nat Pagle.
NIghtfin soup, sagefish before that. Yes, I like my buffs when I’m making connections in leveling dungeons. Also, every time you take a boat you either fish or just stare at the water while you wait. Might as well fish.
I like fishing, so I absolutely will be doing it while leveling. Can’t wait!
