Will YOU decline people based on convenant?

I put “literally link anything” in the description. Anyone who doesnt, I ignore. I figure if someone can read, they can be bothered to learn their class.

Edit: you’d be surprised how many people don’t read the description at all. I get tons of whispers that say to inv them.

I wish ya’ the best of luck getting into esports, but that just isn’t necessary for the vast majority of players

I think this is an ignorant take on those kind of players honestly

It seems like common sense for someone to want to keep what they already have, right?

In my opinion, everyone would be better off if everyone can just… do whatever the hell they want. Stay in your covenant, or swap your spells, or swap your soulbinds, or swap your entire covenant if you want, who cares? Just do whatever you want!

Depends on whether or not covenant choice is directly linked to being a toxic player.

I always decline toxic players.

You’re right, it’s not necessary for the vast majority of players. But 10-20% is a lot. If you’re into high end content, you are effectively gimping your group and making it more difficult on them by choosing a wrong covenant.

actually it’s not an ignorant take on those people, it is a perfect example of the toxic garbage I see on a daily basis in raids, lfr and lfg.

Now it’s a small percentage of people who act like that but it’s those type of people who ruin the game play for others. Just let people play the game the way they want to and no reason to punish people for it.

A covenant and/or Gear/ilvl does not make the raider, So how can someone be judged just based off a Covenant system…now THAT is ignorant.

So you see it already happening in BFA and people think it won’t happen in Shadowlands? Loooool

You can get CE with just about any function group of good players, where it comes into to play though is if you’re trying to rank.

If you’re trying to rank, you don’t have a choice but to play the best.

So we’re actually in agreement then

Apply the fallback plan Blizzard, open everything up and let people play the game the way they want!

If I ever make a group, no I won’t.

Oh it’s going to happen in shadowlands, it has happened almost every expansion. There have always been toxic people in this game and always will…It’s a small percentage but they are still there just to “Flex their Epeen”

No point in hating on people on a game, just shows the ignorance but I do a simple /ignore for those types of people.

So…10-20% damage increase which is expected to be nerfed and potentially forces players not to be able to take Venthyr teleport is a good thing?
Or are you only going to take specs that Venthyr is the best ability for so that they also have teleport?

Or will you take all Venthyr teleport or only people who have the best covenant if they aren’t Venthyr?

What about AoE over single target? Is that a consideration aswell? Or do you only care about theoretical single target dps in a patchwerk environment?

Seems like way too much effort and not substantial enough reward if you ask me.

Honestly I think it’s a really good way of getting dud players aswell as worse players are more likely to metaslave pick cookie cutter options because they don’t understand why they are good, or why some other option might be better for a different situation.

The bottom line is this…What you see now for the Covenant system is not what will be later down the road.

When the expansion releases, i’m going to pick what covenant system I like and if someone don’t like my choice then so be it. I don’t pay my subscription fee based upon what other people like in a game.

Within my guild? No. But that’s because they’re mostly relatives, and I’d never hear the end of it if I lived to be a hundred.

How are people even going to be able to tell which covenants other people belong to? Meet me at the bank so I can inspect your transmog?

It’ll probably be in the armory and it will definitely be recorded in logs.

if it shows up in raider io, i expect people will decline due player’s choice of convenant choices. this is what wow has become, sadly.

Booboobeeboo you didn’t pick the big jump! The big jump lets you hop over the grozlars in the crystal ding dong! You need to take it!

This is all I hear when people whine about which covenant skill will be “needed”.

Stop blaming “culture” for a conscious choice you make. If what you say about the culture is true, it’s only because enough people like yourself chose to make it such.
