Iâll tank on every class I play that can tank. Maybe not primarily or full time, but Iâll do it.
I have tanked every expansion, and up until legion tanking was my main role.
But these days I just like dpsing and tank when needed.
I off tank currently, especially when carrying friends or lower level keys. I will probably keep doing that in shadowlands.
Shadowlands is looking very scary for Tanks and Healers; especially ones from the new player base.
I honestly be practicing by going to the proving grounds without armor and a green quality weapon from Legion.
I usually bounce between mainly tanking or healing each xpac and then a minor bit of the other.
bfa was healing. i want to still run both, but i might try to tank more in SL
Mthic+ though really killed my vibes for healing. Its like they said âhow can we make healing even harder and more difficult in every way possibleâ when thinking of challenges. Considering I kinda just hang out casually and not cutting edge crewâŠM+ this seasonâŠhasnt really been done much at all. Its not fun, its a painful experience.

Yes. Monk and Demon Hunter. Iâll probably be healing too on my Disc Priest.
Will I be doing progression raiding? Nah. Will I be trying to get world firsts? Nah. Will I actually have fun instead of stressing over a large list of things that just donât matter? Heck Yes.

M+ kinda killed tanking for me. In high levels you need to kite, pick routes for best time, know when to skip. You cant just stand like a wall and eat damage, you just get killed in high keys. Kiting is so not tank thing
Yes, on this toon. Though Iâm not super excited about it.
VDH just feels kinda wonky to me. I much prefer Druid/Warr/Pally/DK.
But this is going to be my main. So there we have it.
Can I get a lock summons or a portal stone port or fly there?
I usually play a tank some fair amount, but only among a few friends usually as I donât do the go go go timer meta that is M+

I was kinda excited to be able to farm pvp gear from vendors, but looks like the gear selection will be inadaqute vs pve activities with better stats and ilvl for time invested.
no flying, no pvp gearing on par with raid (not M+) loot as timed events are not fun to me.
I will be tanking for guildies and friends on my Blood DK but no way for pugs and such. Yâall are horrible people.
