True but the question was will we be taking time off “for launch day”, not “will you already have time off that you intend to use to play classic”.
I already had it off, but I would have anyway. All the stuff that goes wrong at launch is a big part of the experience for me. If I get to play, that’s great. If I get to hang out in WoW communities/discords and talk about sitting in a 5000 person queue only to disconnect as soon as I try to enter the world, that’s also great.
I took the entire week off. Even if the servers dont work, I have a few other games I can play while I wait.
Already have time off around launch but I don’t think I would take time off for a game launch these days, I’m just assuming it’s gonna be a mess anyways giving my experience with Xpac launches.
I’m in no hurry with classic though, as somebody that started after BC launched it’s all new to me, I’m just gonna take my time and soak it up
Seriously? There are some countries that require employers to provide weeks of off time.
While that isn’t necessarily true in the US, as most people are likely subject to the PTO system, unless somebody burned a bunch of time over the summer, people are sitting on over half a year of PTO time.

I have been working without time off since September of last year. So I am taking the week of the 26th off ( vacation pay ) and wont have to go back to work until the 3rd. I also have Labor Day off, so I think I will have 10 days free if I looked at my calendar right. Really looking forward to it.
I was in a que of 15k yesterday on Herod for name reserves. It took me about 6 minutes to login. Back in the day, 15k would have taken…a lot longer.

Nope. I homeschool my kids, so no days off there, and I’d be done well before release time anyway. Plus, when the servers open up, I’ll be getting ready for a Weird Al concert. I love me some Classic, but since the servers will probably be broken or buggy for the first few hours, and since I’ve had my tickets for this concert for a year, I’m going, and that’s that.

I actually am already on vacation (as in, at the beach). I’ll try it the night of the 26th, but Tuesday morning I’m traveling back home (during downtime, mostly). I’ll be back on after I get home, and most of the night.
I haven’t taken time off for launch for about 3 expacs now, and this one is no exception. I’ll be out of town for 3 days that week on a real vacation. Classic will still be here when I get back.
Took one of my weeks of vacation for launch week. Ready to grind.

Not I. This is content that I’ve already done, so there’s no anticipation of fancy new things. Plus at the rate I’m planning, I probably won’t hit 60 for 2 months.
