I was literally just reading elder dragon lore and just getting mad there is no way to really play mh 1/2/3/4 anymore cuz they’re all locked to old systems and have the online no longer exist
They ported stories, they gotta port at least 3u/4u eventually!
I don’t think so, they’ll just make it easier to do things across faction barriers to the point where it doesn’t really matter. And that’s ok.
I had fun doing the betrayal quests in EQ2 taking a troll warden from evil to good.

The guy who spent a large amount of his life allied with elves and tried to convince the Orcs to once again ally with the elves…
“There’s a much bigger evil going on, we should fight along side them to stop it” doesn’t equal “Hey lets become BFFs with the elves”
I know you’re not arguing in good faith, but yeah, that would have been a great idea. Knowing how much the orcs hate and are untrusting of the elves, his opening gambit should have totally been “Dude, just forget everything and be besties guys!”

You can find Orcs among the Earthen Ring, Argent Crusade, Kirin Tor, etc… and a slew of, ‘evil,’ factions like the Twilight Cult and what not.
It’s kind of hilarious to think, “This race is united on one thing only, and that is they’ll never join the Alliance, even if they want to actively destroy the Horde, or are willing to work alongside the Alliance as part of a neutral group.”
That honestly applies to just about any race from any faction.
The Alliance would accept Forsaken. They accepted the Death Knights, after all, and Turalyon is in charge now, and he accepted Faol pretty fast. As for Blood Elves, see High Elves, and then Void Elves if you need an even stronger example.
I dunno if I can play the older games after playing world / rise. So I just respect them while playing the recent ones.

Honestly going back to play 1/2 would be a huge swing considering how small move weapons movesets are and the lack of any convenience system
At least 3/4 still have the farm and what not so you don’t literally have to go farm every single mat to craft things and have full enough movesets to not feel awkward
Plus the old map style would allow some monsters to finally return
I have heard good things about the farms in older games. Hope they revisit that. I mean I like the Argosy and Meowcenaries. Fits the vibe of the game. Sometimes I just wanna chill. Like decorating the house in Iceborne and putting cute pets in it. Cozy.
The house decoration thing would be cool to return, just wish more stuff could have been unlocked via gameplay instead of MTX
Also I’m just super biased towards 3 cuz it was when I really got into the game (300 hours on the wii version long after servers closed so I could do nothing but LR village quests) and 4u was legit the best story they’ve ever done in MH (The stories final boss is the same monster you fight numerous times through the story)
