Will they cut DFs planned content

Got a feeling it’s not going to be THAT bad but yeah, I’m not concerned about Blizz’s employees nearly as much as I am about being able to find/afford food on the shelf, the supply chain, and transportation related industries.

This is a fairly insignificant problem. If WoW does lose quality or quantity of content I don’t really care and it won’t be because of RTO. They’ve been racing to the bottom since before SL and DF didn’t change things anyhow.

That was proven false.
You had a full on conversation between titanspite and one of your other alts… where you were literally trolling yourself.

It was comedy.

I keep reading your name as “agitator”. Between your take that Ion said WoW is over, and a few other things, I just shake my head a bit. Are things in life challenging? Yes. Do they change economically over time? Yes. Do companies and countries have ups and downs? Of course. Will WoW end, Blizzard end, or the US end? No. Not anytime soon.

Do you get many legit bites on the bait?

I care a lot. The last time I feel like we got a full expansion experience was Legion. If we don’t get a full expansion experience with Dragonlands… seriously… then there needs to be a big shakeup in the leadership. Maybe that will happen when pappa MSFT comes in to take over.

I think the roadmap for the DF content was a great way to share the plan for what to expect. If they stick to it then we might have a full expansion experience on our hands! If the ship is sinking and leadership is telling people to row harder… well… I’ve seen that story before.

my personal favorite is sara and freya

It’s not like wows the only game around and DF hasn’t been all that interesting to me anyway, so it is what it is.

If people are leaving because they moved away without an assurance that they’d never have to be back in office regularly, that’s not really Blizz’s fault. The employees can decide to leave if that’s the right decision for them after the RTO direction. If it gets bad enough, maybe Blizz leadership will cave, or maybe they’ll be able to replace the losses with some of the folks who are happy to work onsite.

Keep laughing as the boat sails over the cliff. Watch Tucker Carlson if you want to know the truth. Collapse will come swift.

This is what the team wants, this is what I want, and I think most players want. It is very very frustrating seeing Suits look at successful and hard working senior folks, and tell them they need to be babysat in an office to do their job. While paying insanely more for housing, commuting, etc. Losing hours a day to that as well as costs.

When someone like Jackie leaves due to what I assume is the stubborn policy, that is not good for the road map completion which is what the producer is frustrated about. He supports his colleagues and hates seeing them leave when it could be preventable.

I worked for an R&D company for 15 years. All of it on the opposite coast from HQ, and later in the career, as WFH except for meetings/travel. Modern internet, computers, video chat, phone chat, etc makes driving to sit in a cubicle redundant. They can do the job anywhere. We had some software folks who worked their entire career at home except travel/customer meetings. Why? Because they had lots of expertise and specific subject matter knowledge, were very good at their job, and always go their projects done on time, or early.

You realize in terms of development regarding content it is mostly cyclical in that the current content for the existing expansion was already completed 1-2 years ago. You have devs that continue to support the existing expansion for bugs, balance changes, rollouts etc. The vast majority of dev effort today would be in the creation of the next expansion.

Generally speaking at least. So any current shortages in dev talent would most likely impact the next expansion more so then the current one.

Assuming any of this is actually true didn’t bother reading into this that much.

Also at the end of the day from a general sense (ignoring any politics happening) they can always hire more devs. Talent retention and acquisition is also cyclical

This is good news. Hopefully the wow development team has enough turnover that the current developers have less of an impact on the next expansion given how awful DF has been.

Is this all the news there is?

Are ppl quitting because they dont want to stop work from home???

Fire alarms go off all the time when it isn’t an emergency. Heck I make toast and they go off in my house lol!

…Blizzard will finally get some decent developers?

Doubt Microsoft will do anything to change WoW, they’re really only after CoD & Candy Crush.

He lied. The judge ruled that he lied. Fox settled because he and other presenters were pushing lies. The country is strong. The economy is strong. Fox News is circling the drain because of this settlements and future defamation settlements based entirely on lies that they knew were false, but pushed to get ratings.

The problem is not the developers. It’s planners like Ion and other managers that decide what developers should develop. Developers themselves have minimum input.

Doubt and nope. Tucker might be full of it most of the time and Fox might be a terrible source of news (which differentiates it very little from every other corporate news source) but things aren’t that dreamy at the moment.

People should be grateful they don’t have better things to worry about than Blizz’s devs coming back to work though. Soak that privilege up while you’ve got it or focus on something that actually changes something in your world. This won’t.

The country certainly has problems. But it is not circling the drain. There is no left-wing cabal that is trying to destroy the country. A lot of the problems we currently have are inherited from previous guy’s duration, which dramatically increased the deficit due to tax cuts to the ultra rich.

Donald Trump just gave a speech where he said he would end homelessness by rounding up homeless people and putting them in internment camps where they could get the social services they would need to become productive members of society, services neither he nor Republicans have voted to fund. Ever.

Yep, the Microsoft acquisition can’t come soon enough. I just cancelled my subscription until then.

You think Blizzard are the sole perpetrator in this? You think Cali is the only place on earth with a high cost of living? You think America is the only country on earth with an increased cost to goods and services?

Reality check, we are all going down the drain.
