Priest was originally pegged similarly. Its why the old inner fire spell granted increased armor. They just never went fully Battle Priest because Paladins covered it.
I love the shaman talk in here. I agree with every word. The class fantasy of sham tanking is 10/10 for me.
Sadly… this reads exactly like every other time sham tank gets brought up… Across-the-board community enthusiasm and yet 18+ years have passed. Just bummed that’s all

One of my guildes would absolutely flip over a shaman tank spec. So I hope that happens for him.
that and my Tinker tank in a Mech suit. That would be one hell of an Expansion for sure.

As others have said I think shaman makes the most sense with an earth themed tank spec.
Even though monks have 4 celestials, I don’t think Chi-Ji or Yulon scream “ranged dps” and they don’t really have a lot of ranged casting themes.
