Probably tinker if anything.
Pretty convinced the micro class leak is bunk.

Yeah, tell that to the three classes that had parts of their kits butchered and to this day hold a deep level of hatred for Demon Hunters for it.
Also Jesus, youāre quite an ego tripper, you think your opinion is held by the majority of players when it isnāt. When even Brewa and I can agree on a topic, you know youāre just wrong, but Iām not surprised to be completely honest. My argument is based on just past precedent and objectively drawn inferences from that data. Yours is strictly anecdotal and emotionally driven.
May as well allocate my time trying to play chess against someone playing checkers since continuing this discussion with you will yield the same results.
I really donāt care what you have to say. My experience > Yours.
Tinker isnāt my first choice but I donāt find tinker class proponents unreasonable at all. Mechagon was a pretty cool patch with a lot of cool ideas. I think weāre likely due for a gnome and goblin class in the future. Maybe not immediately. Maybe not next expansion. But I donāt think itās far-fetched by any means.
Iām team bard and always will be but I donāt be mad if tinker happens. I might even try it out if itās a mech-based tanking class.
I agree. Please, no Tinker class. IMHO, itās sci-fi, not sword and sorcery fantasy. Iām hoping for an Esper (psionic class).
Tinkers have been in Warcraft since 1995, my man. The Orcs come from another planet, and the demons are aliens.
That would be interesting. Iāve played the Sage combat style in SWTOR and the Mental powerset in DCUO, so I think something like that could work in WoW, like a Shadow priest that focuses more on the mental assault aspect combined with using telekinetic powers to hurl junk at enemies or pick them up and hurl them into each other.
What Blizzard did to demo warlock just to make demon hunters is honestly unforgivable. They basically took one of the coolest things about Warlock and gave it to a boring melee that is heavily race restricted.
They need to fix the mess they created not add more to it just to appease a few people who are going to quit the game after 3 weeks of a new expansion.
Itās bad enough that some specs like shadow priest have felt like some sort of cruel failed experiment this whole xpac.
Dragonborn/sworn, also holding my breath for Neutral Black Dragonflight playable race, they can be just like sexy AF Wrathion.
Thereās really no comparison here. It should be Dragonborne. Especially if weāre getting a dragon expansion. The appeal for Tinkers feels like itād be niche.
It even abbreviates to AP.
Perfect.

Why do you feel it would be niche? Technology class archetypes are quite popular in fantasy games.
I agree that it should be Dragonborne though.
Iāve had it up to here with the tinker crowd insisting that their class is an inevitability no matter what gets announced or leaked about an upcoming expansion.
I imagine their feeling of inevitability comes from the fact that the last three expansion classes were from WC3 heroes, and the Tinker is the last class that could conceivably be pulled from that source. There is also the rather blatant issue of races like Gnomes and Goblins simply not having an available class that matches their racial identity.
Dragon Warrior YEAH
Yeah, I am absolutely sure that has EVERYTHING to do with a new class and not you know, those being the expansions where Blizzard was actually doing things somewhat competently and brought in new players.
I never made that argument. Iām simply pointing out that adding a new class does not break the game as some in this thread would have us believe.
Nobody started playing in Wrath because of Death Knights, they played because it was the thing to be playing in Wrath with a lot of celebrities saying it was their guilty pleasure in downtime.
MoP is well known to have been a large influx of newer players, this wasnāt due to monk.
Legion is the same case as MoP.
You ask people who began playing in those expansions why they began playing or what made it so good to them and itās less than 1% that will say āBecause they added a class that I liked.ā That isnāt a dealbreaker for most people. On that note, people tend to regard the era they began playing in as the best because it was new and gripping, thatās why theyāre still playing. If you brought it up to EVERY WoW player ever, the people who quit before during any of these expansions will see them as bad and youāll see a much different result. There are more people that have quit WoW than are presently playing the game.
While it isnāt a dealbreaker, it certainly isnāt a negative. Obviously, some people got into WoW because of the DK, Monk, or DH. In my case, by Cataclysm I was bored with Shaman, and I had never gotten into DKs, but when MoP rolled in, I immensely loved the Monk class, and that kept me subscribed until I took a huge break after the end of Legion. So clearly a new class benefits both Blizzard and the game itself, because new classes bring in and retain existing players.
What gets me about this argument is that people complain about ābalanceā regardless of what is brought into the expansion. We havenāt had a new class since 2016, and people now state that WoW is in the worst state its ever been. Itās laughable to see people act like keeping a new class out of the game will make the situation better.
You have a very distinct voice.
But to the topic: a dragon-based for a dragon-based expansion. Itās only logical.
What gets me about this argument is that people complain about ābalanceā
People complaining about balance, are hilariously assuming that Blizzard WANTS balance! Ahahaha! They could never be more mislead! Blizzard does NOT want balance! It doesnāt benefit marketing aims! Havenāt you noticed that through their āāclass changesāā in each expansion their REAL aim is to shake things up to switch powerful specs around? Strong specs get nerfed, weak ones get buffed, and the devsā favourites REMAIN at the top for as long as they can keep them there without players figuring out that itās all just staged. Oh and OFCOURSE any new classes or classes that fits an expacās theme will be keeping huge buffs through that entire expansion. Class / spec balancing never was and never will be Blizzardās true goal.
So maybe stop thinking balance for a minute, and think about what you yourselves would personally find the most fun. Is it more specs? So be it. Is it more classes? Hell yeah! Is it mini one-spec classes with very differing themes that bring variety and fun to the table while actually amounting to just a single class when it comes to balancing and therefore not too difficult to manage? Well that sure hits 2 birds with 1 stone.
This is why I donāt believe this leak. Maybe the name sounds real but micro classes? They even said theyāre not making a tinker class and never wonder how that came to be in the playerbase. This sounds like a fanmade wishlist tbh.
WHat if they are not classes but maybe experimenting with additional specs for some classes .
Take tinker for example that could possibly work as a hunter spec that uses munitions and does DoT damage
No, and wow dragonflight isnāt even confirmed. Donāt hype a fake leak.
Bro itās all but confirmed. This wasnāt some crackhead on MMO Champion. The name was pulled from Blizzardās website. Everything else is based on a āleakā that got the name right. People have known it would be a dragon expansion for some time because of Datamining. This isnāt fake. Dragonflight is most definitely the name of the next expansion.
