Do you think we’ll ever see the return of these questlines? Obviously, as of writing this, you can do the MoP one in MoP Classic, but that won’t be there forever.

I really want to play these questlines instead of having to watch a video from like 10 years ago paraphrasing what the questlines were about.
I was New in Cata, so I have no idea what quest chain that even is.
As for the Mop, it was all tied into the Leggo cloak, so I highly doubt that will ever return.
I’m a really big fan of seasonal rewards but what I’m not a fan of is removing content completely.
The cloak and ring quest line was a major storyline from both expacs and it’s how we’re introduced to what becomes a major lore character (Wrathion.)
There would be absolutely nothing wrong with bringing back the cloak and ring, but not bringing back the title. They could give people that earned the ring while it was current the title “Legend of Draenor.”
Edit: Whoops, I thought you were talking about the cloak and ring. What quest line from Cata are you talking about?
The Wrathion egg questline and the Fangs of the Father questline weren’t removed after Cataclysm.
Removing the cloak questline was stupid though I don’t see them bringing it back.

The only questline in Cata (besides the Rogue daggers, which are still available) that deals with Wrathion, IIRC, is the Badlands chain where you save (what ends up being) his egg. It starts over in the area with all the whelps, with a red dragon named Rea or Rhea, and has a fairly sad ending. Was that chain removed?

I’m going to be frustrated if we spend an entire expansion about the void/Xala and he doesn’t make an appearance. I’m tired of it being all about Alleria.

Fangs are still available; I completed mine a couple months ago, and my partner just started the quest last night. Have your rogue pickpocket Hagra(sp?) in the Eye of Eternity during the raid before killing her to start the quest.
My EXACT thoughts. As much as I want him to come back, I am scared that they are going to ruin his character again like they did in DF. I was so shocked when he didn’t even react when the Echo of Neltharion turned out to be a faceless one, the exact thing that happened to Wrathion in BfA when he was a boss fight, among a ton of other things that he did that were giga stupid. I am glad Danuser is out, but things don’t look good in TWW, either. : /
Apparently not! With the removal of the MoP quests, I thought they removed the Fangs of the Father quests, too. I need to get on this questline stat!
Yeah I don’t see anything on wiki indicating any of the Cata ones were removed. I don’t think the Mists one is ever returning, though. Especially given that during Remix they readded Theramore’s Fall but the Wrathion quests didn’t return.
Since Cata. Fangs of the Father and Rhea’s Egg was never removed.

I believe that a lot of characters deserve some sort of story in an expansion about the void, but so far there’s been too much focus on one in particular. And she constantly boxes other characters out with her own dialog. It’s kinda weird. Hoping to see it move in another direction in the next expansion. Time will tell.
I kind of expect Midnight to be focused on elves in particular, honestly. If I’m wrong - great. But I feel like Midnight will use a lot of elf characters.
I can see why they didn’t add his quests to MoP Remix, considering MoP Classic was about a year away from that, and you can just get the cloak appearance toy. But at this rate, his MoP quests won’t be ANYWHERE in both Classic and Retail.
I think this questline is an incredibly vital part of his character, especially considering how major he is now (I mean, just look at the merch! New stickers came out a while ago with all the aspects except Ebyssian, Wrathion representing the Black Dragonflight instead).
If he doesn’t come back for Midnight, he might come back for The Last Titan, or whenever we will see Iridikron come back, since Wrathion is supposed to be hot on his tail, for lack of a better term.
There is also some unresolved stuff between him and Anduin, Anduin even mentioning to Faerin that he wants to introduce her to him. I don’t really care for the character interaction between Wrathion and Anduin, but I cannot deny that it exists and that it might be a reason, no matter how tiny, for Wrathion’s reintroduction into the story.
Though, I must be honest, since he is my favorite character, I would love to see him return for any reason.
Oh, it for sure will. I hope Lor’themar actually gets a fleshed-out story, too, instead of just showing up to be the “pragmatic Horde guy”.

Aside from his terrible character assassination in DF, I agree! A lot of people don’t seem to think so, from what I’ve seen literally everywhere online. I blame DF entirely because he was PRIME in BfA, Despite all of BfA’s bad writing, Wrathion shined. But well… nobody played that far into BfA because it was so bad lol…
Honestly my personal favourite character isn’t coming back since she seems to have been killed off for good, but I love seeing any dragon appearing in the story.
Yeah. I feel like he’s kind of been put on the side in the past. Would be nice to see more.
Honestly the cloak questline from MoP and the ring quest line from WoD should have been left in, remove the rewards if the legendries absolutely needed to go but the quests themselves are important to the lore and setting up things in the expansion that follows them. It’s a bit like removing half of a chapter of a book.
