Sorry dawg, you can’t claim to care about the Vanilla feel while simultaneously being a nochanger.
Set metas isn’t the vanilla feel. 70% of a raid being warriors isn’t the vanilla feel. People rolling characters for a hyper specific purpose that is vindictively forced on them by the community, instead of playing what they think is cool, isn’t the vanilla feel. Raiding and dungeons being complete pushovers isn’t the vanilla feel. I could go on at length.
You and your ilk actively oppose the game feeling like Vanilla. It’s only thanks to the immense human ability to delude oneself that you think you actually champion it. Your entire existence is that scene from the animated Witcher movie where Vessemir thinks he’s fighting the enemy and is actually killing his friends.
But like why would your raid require it? It might be optimal but vanilla has been proven to not require optimal play, not even close. If your raid leader is requiring you to do something you’d prefer not to in vanilla they’re being crazy.
Would you ride on a ported drag quad in a race up the biggest hill at the dunes over a scooter your grandma gave you as an option when everyone else has theirs modded too or not.
Jeez, less people are playing on Thanksgiving AND last week of phase 5 ? Crazy the game must be dead…
And tell me again what’s the connection between SoD having a way better PvE meta than ERA and pretending nobody is playing it ? I mean even if the game was dead it would still be a better meta. At least you can play every spec with a decent rotation…
When I raided on my priest I had a similar experience. nobody else used PI and i was top healing. they also never dps’d at all despite all the downtime
I, er, uh, Private Investigator? This to emphasize that abbreviations are not at all precise if people are asking what you mean by them. You do you, but if you want everyone else to do you maybe step back a bit and breathe.
Guess that means I only think I’m playing classic because the abbreviation is gibberish to me? Okay, cool, thanks for muddying the waters more, I appreciate it!
