Why Would Anyone Vote for Skyreach?

I voted Grimrail and Iron Docks. Looks like most people did too.

I did vote it and I’m one of those too. People forget WoD wasn’t an expansion you auto won dungeons day 1 on and Burial Grounds especially would kick your teeth in even with some gear if you didn’t respect it.

The trash is/will be brutal, the bosses especially will all be brutal. It’ll humble a lot of people who honestly need brought down a ton of pegs already.

Too bad it has next to no hope of actually winning seeing as, last I checked last night, it was 2nd from last.

Shadowmoon burial mound was probably my favorite

I’m pretty sure because either they don’t do M+ or they are deep in schadenfreude.

Skyreach, everbloom, achin-RP are all not great M+ dungeons.

Skyreach, the last bosses will be extremely painful on tyrannical. The wind section will become a major pain point as people get one shot by the feathers at higher key levels

Everbloom, too sensitive to pathing and the mechanics are just suck.

Achin-RP: too much RP

SMBG: not horrible but not great either

Iron Docks: Good bones for M+ on first two bosses, last boss on tyrannical is going to be pain

Slag maul: technical, the most obvious M+ dungeon

UBRS: meh… not that good of a dungeon IMO. Also I don’t want to wait 30m for someone to find the dungeon so we can summon people.

It’s almost like there people who don’t actually play WoW but who are straight-up trolls who want to ruin things for other people in order to feel like they have control over something.

It’s almost like that.

KAhhhahhaa Sky REEEach

i have not seen her in many years.

this is actually a fun mechanically important encounter. each boss has something you have to do to make it through alive.

it would be amazing to see it become a M+ dungeon.

but i guarantee you, there will be groups that wall on the entrance trash because people dont know how to kick.

but thats easy enough to clear, so then the next wall would be people minding their position. 3rd wall is easy. we have a similar boss this season. stand in beams or die.

the major wall though, will be the quills phase.

and then there is the last boss. mini dps check on adds in the fight. stuns interrupts etc to avoid getting thrown off. but easy enough. the other mechanics shouldn’t be much issue.

over all the dungeon could be perfect to toss in more affixes. Sanguine would be annoying.

inspired on the entrance trash would prob feel like trolling,

seems like a good fun option imo.

I dunno, Skyreach isn’t the worst. But I also did not vote for it.

What’s hard about the last boss? It just seems like it will last ten thousand years because of all the forced damage stops from the “intermission” mechanic. Maybe trolling on Quaking or something, I dunno.

I just don’t want it because it looks dull, but I guess with the other 6 dungeons being more high-concept (Space Bazaar, Interdimensional Journey, Cybertron City, Junkyard, Alternate Dimensions/Realities, a spooky Ghostly Banquet Hall + Stables) maybe a down-to-Azeroth (or down-to-Draenor) instance of just some Orcs and some boats may be a fair contrast that feels more grounded and low-fantasy.

I’m pleased that the two most “iconic” dungeons for the WoD aesthetic are on top. Grimrail is a no-nonsense corridor with interesting bosses and no gimmicks. Perfect for M+. Iron Docks is just plain a good dungeon, with funny NPC banter on top.

I’m also pleased that Everbloom, Skyreach and Auchindoun are not winning. The first has a puzzle section that I always find unwelcome in timed contexts, the second has finicky skips that always become meta and a PITA in M+, and the last is constantly interrupted by RP. Good riddance, imo.

Depends on the damage scaling during the intermission. If they scale that with the key it will be unmanageable very quickly.

You’re not thinking with the balls… or dragging literally all the trash from the first area on top of the first boss. I can literally see this being a dungeon with ~2 trash pulls. One on top of the first boss and one back into the balls. I think groups can make a game of just how insane they want to pull.

I think I voted Auchinduon And Shadowmoon burial.

Mostly cause I didn’t mind doing them. And the fit the undead afterlife theme of the expansion.

Little dissapointed to see what was on top besides grimrail depot.

I actually really like the dungeon, it’s a lot of fun and I voted for it… I also forgot about the opening where you’re stuck on a bird for 3 minutes… Oh well, buyer beware I guess.

Rukhmar fight is going to make me not want to ever heal that dungeon.

I could be wrong. Maybe I’ll end up loving this dungeon. I do love me some big pulls and now that trash doesn’t bolster bosses maybe that will be a lot of fun. It’s also a more solid throwback to the theme of the expansion than some of the other dungeons, and I can see some people being excited for some simple high power on-use trinkets (Agi + Mastery being potentially very good for going ham on a Feral Druid for instance).

I guess time will tell. Looks like Grimrail + Iron Docks are probably a lock at this point, so I might as well prepare mentally for it.

:+1:

I would have voted for Auchindoun if it wasn’t so heavy on RP and so overly linear. I think it looks amazing and has some interesting trash pulls, and will lean well into what is to come with the eventual Light/Void stuff.

I think we need skip rp optins in mythic plus or just in general.

I voted for Skyreach and Iron Docks because I thought they were both cool dgs. Granted I started playing wod around a month before legion hit and didn’t do any mythics.

Because I like the aesthetic, Arakkoa are awesome, and the dungeon’s fun.

Why would anyone vote for more lame orc dungeons, especially one that’s pretty much just a straight line? xD

I think its one of the most interesting dungeons from WoD and while Iron Docks was a slam dunk as my first vote my second choice was a toss up between Skyreach and Grim rail. The only other possibility for me was Upper Blackrock but that place is a royal pain to navigate sometimes. It also feels claustrophobic. The other dungeons (Auchindoun, Everbloom, etc…) are just blah.

Orc based dungeons are winning, this is another clear sign of Blizzard blatant favoritism for the horde. /s

I’m actually curious if they will block moving the first boss into the area with the balls or just nerf them into the ground. I really hope they just do the former and not the latter as the balls currently one shot mobs on mythic. So if you’re brave you could clear to the second boss and drag it all into the ball area and just pray the tank stays alive until they go squish. I don’t remember if players take damage from the balls, but even if they do it could be an acceptable trade if the tank is able to hold them there.

I did however forget about the saberon boss… which has bleeds. That could be not fun.
