I agree - I kept having to go back every minute or so to check. Most people just don’t even bother looking for it and those that do shouldn’t end up missing out.

Actually, I’ve seen the boss spawn without the egg. Not sure if it’s a bug or if the egg increases the drop rate or what.
It’s not like you’re flying from one end of the world to the next. If you go somewhere like Goldshire, it’s less than a minute to go back and forth.
They have to be 60 or above to get the mount, so that lowers the number of people.
None of us have lives, we play WoW.
Again, not sure if this is a bug but he was spawning about every 5 minutes without an egg.
Yeah, I was really sad over this 
I thought, “okay, no problem, I can just alt this” but nooo, you have to get them all on the same character how depressing

Welp… R.I.P. Noblegarden. Was a stress free and fun holiday but now it’s got a boss that seems out of nowhere and he drops a mount with tiny drop rate and cosmetic armor as well. Why did it need a boss fight or special boss fight mount? It was fine as it was already but nope every holiday has to be time limited FOMO crud now it seems. Glad I got the violet protodrake so the holidays aren’t a big deal for me anymore but come on now

I don’t get why they’re so stuck on the whole quest/daily thing to make you run back and forth (Oh wait I do, more time wasted) instead of the WQ system.
Most of what you just said is excuses for bad design. Limited duration events and holidays should not have low droprate items. Everything should be on a vendor and it should take nearly the entire length of the even to buy them. That’s what made Love is in the Air more successful.

I can’t believe players do these snooze fests events every year.
Egg hunting is a zen-like experience for me. Just like Isle of Quel’danas dailies were. 
Holiday bosses can rot in a specific type of washing machine double hockey sticks.

I wasn’t excusing anything, I was just stating what I’ve observed while farming.
You’ve observed people have less alts to run or that we don’t have lives or that it’s not a big deal that the boss spawn is messed up?
I’m not sure what your point was then with posting such things.
I was saying that it’s less likely that a lot of people have max level alts, specifically talking about myself.

I’m actually ok with events that have us go out into the world, instead of sitting in [current xpac quest hub] pressing a queue button once a day.

It’s like the Love Rocket farm, but extra steps, longer wait times in between being able to do the daily, and less days to attempt it! I love when we see blue posts that claim to understand our pain when it comes to farming low drop rate items and then go right back to implementing more low drop rate items.

2a. The dragging mechanic easily exploited by tolls. I’m seeing people dragging the egg all over the place to keep it out of the nest. Anyone, ANYONE could have see this coming.

It really is as though they never quite learn from previous examples. They take one step forwards towards improving quality of life, and three steps backwards and sideways in some weird attempt to add variety.
I’m okay with them wanting to give us Daetan as a loot pinata, but the summoning mechanic and respawn timer are just… awkward and clunky at best. And for a 1 shot a day/7 day event, the potential to get a single egg as your drop is just… insulting. Not when I can collect dozens of eggs just by wandering around for a few minutes. Why not 10 or 25 eggs at least for a boss fight you can only do once a day?

As I am lazy and don’t read notes about new events… is this boss higher % on 1st kill of day and the rest are low on alts? Or 1% across the board? (For the mount drop)

And yet here you are, giving them money.
I’ll forever be baffled by their obsession with < 10% drop rates on things, especially when it’s a limited-time holiday event. To me, it just screams zero confidence in the content being actually fun so they have to heavily incentivize players to keep pulling on the slot machine in hopes of getting the shinies.

I never said you couldn’t.
You broke it down point by point and then proceeded to post how the boss spawn didn’t seem to be an issue, while Horde side they can’t get it to spawn at all half the time. Then dismissed the travel for the quest, apparently joked about us not having lives, and tried to say people won’t run it as much because it’s 60+ for the mount.
Keep in mind, lower level alts can still get the transmog pieces. So if people want those, they’ll feel the need to use all alts. And people do have a lot of 60+ alts. We saw that with the Love Rocket.
It just came across very dismissive. Which is why I questioned it if you weren’t trying to come across that way. I wasn’t following you, that’s all.
