Because if they didn’t timegate it then a handful of people would blast through it in a few days and a few people would feel like it’s unfair and cry on the forums for a month.

Maybe. Just thought it strange to show off flashy new sets then not be able to get even a single one day one. Could understand working to unlock all. Which i was prepared to do and still am. This just seems silly I guess.

Time Gating really started in WoD. Before that you could more or less work your way to success. If people really want to be technical though I would say Firelands . But it wasn’t egregious like it was in WoD.

in the blizz video for the event they described it lasting so long because its the focus of this whole patch, instead of War Within content all we are getting this patch was the anniversary event - which they hyped up a lot - and… i guess they just expect us to grind this content for the next few months. lol
The new transmog for DK, Monk and I guess Evoker are nice but the eyesores of the past didn’t stand a chance.
Also this event’s approach is very confusing. seems to be a lot of standing around waiting? Like how tf does transmog platform work?
Well, people dont enjoy spending 8 hours running dungeons to walk out with nothing either.

The activities to get the currency aren’t very entertaining.
I could come up with something more interactive by chatting with “ChatGPT” for 3 minutes.

I get it that it is a choice, but the event is meant to last until… January, if I am right? Why burn everything on day 1? Still, on day 1 you should net around 90 coins, it is enough to buy 1 set, and the others get cheaper as it goes. Takes 4 weeks to get every set, so… It is absolutely fine as is.
