oh, i understand you fine, i just think your opinions are bad
It’s not about anti environmentalism, just because this stuff is complete bs doesn’t mean that we should just throw trash in the river etc…
Ultimately prices are the intersection between supply and demand, if home prices are high, guess the solution.
You don’t understand anything.
yeah they need to build more houses. the ones that are currently just sitting empty are… well, we won’t talk about them. they don’t count.
Hey if we did someone about those empty houses it might lower the value of houses because there’s way more available than let on!
Think about the poor investors
Ironically one of the reasons why boomers don’t want to see more houses built is to artificially increase the prices of their homes, because since they spent everyone’s money that’s literally the only real asset that most people have.
And since young people tend to be kinda stupid, they also don’t want to see more houses build because “think about the environment” And so, politically it only makes sense to not build more, and then they complain about “prices too high”.
This is how stupid the average normie is.
My personal thoughts as a human being myself:
- Games need a union. They’re gonna keep doing this crap, none of your jobs are safe, they’ll fire any of you on a whim if some suit thinks it will make the stockholders ten more dollars, and the rest of you get to enjoy crunch and then get the blame for rushed products. Unionize. Today.
I miss the Clinton administration, we had a strong middle-class, affordable housing and a surplus…/smh
Thanks for the input /pol
The good ol days when a man could really get some h… Uhh get ahead
which young people are saying this? are you suggesting it’s a mainstream opinion among young people?
big “i studied the blade” energy here
Yea, i am very smart indeed.
That’s what knowing economics does.
Do you know, first hand, how much it sucks to get laid off as a provider for a family? Based on your callus response I would guess not.
It all gets flushed down the drain every time the 'MURICA! crowd get their guy in. You’d think they’d learn.
they’re not real big on pattern recognition
Anyway, these kinds of layoffs won’t go away, because this is simply how this industry works. And complaining about it is kinda like complaining about having to cook food as a chef, it’s what you signed up for.
Are there permanent jobs in this industry? Yes, but there are an awful lot of contract workers because of how game development works.
Lenegis, do yourself a favor and stick a sock in it…
What a grand and insightful comment.
They wouldn’t be in that cult if they were capable of learning.
So maybe instead of accepting that, why not actually try to do something to fix it?
Because this is simply how the industry works due to development cycles, it’s like complaining about having to lay bricks as a construction worker, and how they are heavy etc…
Also, when there is a merger there are always layoffs dues to redundancy.
