Why the lack of Customization?

Honestly, being able to customize sounds, guns included, would be pretty neat.
We used to be able to do it manually not through… actual in game means, but it was changed so we couldn’t.

Lifting some restrictions on that and allowing people to toy around a tiny bit might actually alleviate a lot of issues.

This is ultimately a false statement. The tweet quite explicitly stated in the last sentence that Worgen do not have tails. The idea that she was specifically only referring to Genn is simply incorrect. If she were specifically referring to Genn as not having a tail rather than then entire race, she would either have specified that Genn specifically doesn’t have a tail or worded it to say something along the lines of “So no, that worgen doesn’t have a tail” to refer to Genn exclusively.

Her reference to Genn was mostly in the utilization of the phrase “I’m only human” in reference to how Humans make mistakes. Genn was just a relevant example of someone who isn’t entirely Human, which is why she brought up his name.

Blood Elves getting a second visual theme after having lost visual uniqueness to gift a second visual theme to its parallel AR is what I’d like to see added.

Exclusive Farstrider tattoos for BEs to compliment the uniqueness of their main theme they should best be able to represent.

Worgen tails, Pandaren faction themed options, unlocking accessories for only one player model or the other like tattoos on guy NEs can’t be used on girl NEs for what ever reason etc.

I agree. It’s something that’s annoyed me forever and should have always been a toggle to begin with. The sound change totally killed the fantasy for me. Bows/Xbows arent as bad but i still miss the old sound of knocking back an arrow.

Hey! Night elves are not icky!

They’re not on the same level as Tauren though.

Tauren are pretty cool, so I can’t argue much with this.

This really does sound like a lot of fun — my favorite alt since BC has been my Forsaken mage; I always level her up after I finish leveling my main Watermist — but…

I can’t help but suspect that Blizzard is trying to avoid certain things for the sake of lower-tier graphics card in many of the players’ computers.

After all, one of the key factors drawing people to WoW is that it could be run on a potato… and Blizzard has been pushing the graphics update pretty hard since WoD, so people with older computers are having a LOT of difficulty now.

(Case in point: my dad plays on a 2013 computer and it cannot even display half of the graphics in SL. Compare that to MoP, when Dad was able to play with a 2007 computer just fine.)

If Blizzard could find a way to add those features without a heavy CPU load/high res/whatever else… then that’d be the most awesome thing ever.

I would like to get such…Runemagical “Tatoos” on my bloodelves. The Rangertatooos are not unique…high elves, blood elves and void elves share a theme here, i want it to be seperated by uniqueness symbolic by each race.

The void Tatoos could be different by making them half transparent …like a hole in your skinn with an “universe view” in it.

The bloodelves could be get this runetatoos as difference.

Speaking of tattoos, you guys know what Blizzard really, really needs to do?

Increase the opacity (visibility) of Nightborne tattoos!

I mean, they’ve already made some (but not all, and this needs to be fixed too) of the Lightforged Draenei tattoos more visible.

C’mon, just let us see those cool tattoos!

…and add darker skins for both Nightborne and LF Draenei.

(Both versions of Draenei are my favorite Alliance races, in case it wasn’t obvious.)

THANK YOU. The Icon of Blood contains three colors, not two. Blue, or at least that very specific shade of teal-blue, is a Blood Elf racial color.

Most San’layn in game have the same standard frosty blue eyes that player death knights have. Lana’thel has black eyes, and the princes have golden eyes. Art from Hearthstone sometimes gives them different eye colors, but no San’layn in game in WoW have red eyes. Dark Rangers have red eyes, and Lady Alistra, the unholy trainer in Acherus, is apparently a red-eyed High/Blood Elf death knight, though I have seen it argued that she might not be a traditional death knight and may instead be a banshee who has regained her body like the Dark Rangers have.

I know this isn’t at all what you meant, but this gave me a mental image of Forsaken characters having a toggle between models that let them turn into Dark Rangers at will like some sort of were-elf.

I would love some sort of acknowledgement and reconciliation between Lor’themar and the undead High Elves, both Dark Rangers and Ebon Blade, who were killed during the Scourge invasion. Make it a follow-up scenario to what was shown in the heritage armor quest line; Velonara even gets a few specific lines in the flashbacks there before she’s killed. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the Sin’dorei directly acknowledge their undead kin and their sacrifices to their faces, rather than just through plaques and a day of remembrance that the undead “survivors” don’t take part in? I’d love to see something like that just for story’s sake, never mind customization options.

Yes please!

I would love for Death Knights to get some new class-specific customization options, especially since the Knights of the Ebon Blade are featured in a prominent role in Shadowlands. We could use some more dead-looking skin textures for everyone, especially for the allied races as well as some to reflect new skin tones that some races have gotten. In addition to facial and body combat scars that I think should be available for all races and classes, I would like to see death scars as a separate option. Runic tattoos would also be a nice option, considering that Koltira has them when we first meet him in the Wrath starting zone: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=28912/koltira-deathweaver

Eh no thanks, the semi visible effect is cooler IMO. At laest as someone who has LF , I rather they aren’t so visible , like they were on NPCs at the start.
Now LF do need tattoos on their faces where they can be seen even with full body armor.

Hey now, I didn’t say to replace the lighter tattoos.

I mean, we’ve spent days and days talking about toggle options in this thread…

Back on my main, it’s Oldd. Tried to swap back for the nelf rep but it’s bugged again. (Fix their lip "bug too.)

Also, since I’m still on the night elf kick anyways, when the time comes, can we get tattoo colour options for the boys? Just purple is kind of lame.
And the Highborne on Alliance really need some rep, so a single arcane holo theme that goes on what they already have would pretty much be perfect. Poor Mordent looks so Vanilla. (Literally.)
This would obviously come later, after AR’s get updated, and some of the other core races get touched up. (Worgen, Belf, Goblin, ect ect.)

And black skin for Lightforged!

I like this belf. This belf has good ideas.
Give them the option for belfs to be able to tint their tattos with gold, fel, or additional shades of arcane too.

Void Elves really only need maybe one arcane shade at best, and a bigger focus on the void colours. (Purples, Dark Blues, Red. I’m biased and want neon pink too.)

These should be a thing TBH

I mean, you did say fix, but whatevs.

I fully support the option to make the tattoos more visible  I’d really like to see them stand out more, a toggle like you were mentioning to suit both tastes would be a good solution. It’s just a shame, so many cool face tats were added to the nightborne that you can’t really see at all unless zoomed in super close with the perfect camera angle.

But with or without beards?

I mean, not really. We know that Genn does not have a tail so it makes sense for Christie do make a correction, since that is the characters that was corrected, that does not automatically equate to all worgen not having tails.

It can just as easily be explained like the new diverse options humans and Blood elves got, they were always there but not available to players yet, and since people only want them as an optional thing not all Worgen would have tails. Seems completely reasonable.
