Why the lack of Customization?

I’m happy for me too, I’m a wonderful person.

I love how Blizz literally uses another model for Illidan because they know the playable nelf male is so terrible. Yet never bother to do any fixes.

Now I know that, because for the sarcastic answers they accept it as an attack.

I think the only ones that got fixed were fem draenei right? I mean, not the broken arm but the rest. And that was only because Yrel looked embarrassingly bad and she was the MC.

The good news is, and it is unfortunate due to the timing and how “bad” things have gotten to get to this point, it seems that they are indeed listening.

I think I can safely say that some of us are really hoping we keep making progress.
They fix the Male Nelf faces at the same time, and communicate they’re going to because they make a whoopsie and forgot them, I will be pleasantly surprised and have quite a bit more hope for customization going forwards for everybody.

Right now, it does feel the Nightborne are getting a bit more TLC than Lightforged and HMT, but, that is fixable and we just need to keep making suggestions and to see if they get the same amount of polish after.

Frankly, doing 2 races a patch until they’re all caught up, with some big “simple” fixes for others (Helfs + Male Nelf Faces for this one) would be an amazing thing to look forwards to for every .5 or even mainline patch, especially if we get time frames or a “so and so is next” and “we’d like to do this” without it taking 10 years. (…incubi lol.)

Tbh, I still find the new Draenei faces too puffy, similar problem to the Night Elf women.

The problem is that once they’re done, they’re probably done for another 8-10 years.

Funny enough, I’ve found the Nightborne to be the better Night Elf ‘update’.

I’ll agree if they give HMT, VEs, and LFD more options. Until then…eeeeeeeeh.

In humans yes, but not elves. Elves aren’t Titanforged, they were never affected by the Curse of Flesh. The differences in appearance and size between Kaldorei and Quel’dorei/Sin’dorei are a matter of being connected to the Well of Eternity versus the Sunwell, no Old God involvement needed. I’m not trying to argue for or against any hair colors for anyone, just a reminder that despite their similarities in appearance, WoW elves have no relationship at all to WoW humans when it comes to biological origins.

Night elf players have been asking you to fix their model since WOD… we have been asking you to fix their faces for a looong time, before WOD night elves had narrow eyes and not this bug eyes they have now. You guys are fixing Nightborne while ignoring their parent race.

Really? Why’s that?

Regardless of who you are, that behavior seems prevalent in your posts. :face_with_hand_over_mouth: :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I remember connecting to WoD pre-patch, seeing my draenei and being like “nope nope, not playing this”. But they looked much better at the end.

Though now I’d like if that deep blue they had as eyes back then was brought back as a customization option.

I’d also like if fem draenei had more than one pretty+ happy face. All the other faces besides the makeup one look sad, angry or weird.

It makes me kind of sad because a lot of what the Nightborne are, it’s what I wanted from options for Night Elves after Cataclysm. I love Mordent and the Shen’dralar, but it never felt that they had any presence outside “okay you can play a mage.”

Slimmer Builds + Arcane Tattoos went exclusively to a whole new race on the faction I don’t enjoy playing.

100% fixable though.
If we do wind up getting a new capital for the Night Elves, I’m just hoping it comes with a Highborne area, and we get some arcane theme tattoos. Everybody needs body options at this point.

You actually have a very good point. Thanks

Not quite - the Sunwell had nothing to do with their new Thalassian physical appearance. It’s canon that High Elves physically changed before founding the Sunwell.

The following is total headcanon on my part, but remember how they tried to settle in Tirisfal Glade, but they had to move because, literally quoting, “they were driven insane”? Afterwards, they moved to what today is Quel’Thalas, and just right after being “driven insane” is when they changed physically (again, before the Sunwell even existed).

Now, what I like to headcanon is that they were actually affected somehow by an Old God, a Void entity or something along those lines living below Tirisfal Glades. A sort of a “Curse of Flesh 2.0”. That would be a much more interesting explanation for their sudden physical change.

Yeah, it’s a shame that essentially the Highborne fantasy was given to Horde and the Highborne that returned to the Alliance only got representation in Cata and, in a minor, way in Legion with the brother/sister mages in…Azsuna?

Yeah I’m not sure what they could do where it wouldn’t look similar to Nightborne themes. I’m not sure I’ve seen Highborne tattoos and what not, but Azshara is at least something to reflect on.

Dude they’re the messenger. Don’t @ them.

Because they’re are told what to say and then write the context of it. That’s all. It’s not Linxys fault. It’s better to direct frustrations at Blizzard instead of a single messenger.

They are also in the Night elf Warfront.

Which is a bit awkward given that Maiev is leading it.

It makes me happy even they are there and not Delas though.

Ah that’s neat! Speaking of the Night Elf warfront, how about that race flavor glaive only being available to Demon Hunters when that is the weapon of choice for Night Elves? Also where is that classic Night Elf warfront armor Blizzard?

I went through this thread and caught up with all the new posts and gave a lot of likes but the only reply I actually wanted to reply to is yours and that’s because I want Dark Iron Dwarves on Horde so that my alt Dark Iron Dwarf Warlock can be upgraded to my third main character behind this one and my Nightborne Warlock.

I’ve always said, Night elves should have a racial “Ancient proficiency” that allows them to use glaives regardless of race.

Realistically, it would only add a new drop for WW Monks, but it would add flavor for the rest.

They should do this with Night Elves and Tauren. I love the idea as a pairing with Heritage Weapons.

Apologies, perhaps should have learnt the mentality ahead of replying with sense of sarcasm.

My bad, my bad.
