that isnt written in title or initial post, so unless you know something I dont, you are just full of it.
Oh no! You had to actually read two more posts past the first one?!
Have a better day, dear.
I aint your dear, and yea I won’t read the whole comment section no ty.
In WoW, the only truly challenging solo content is the Mage Tower. All other solo content can be completed by someone who just started playing the game yesterday, regardless of their class or spec.
This is why it’s standard to not take a healer into M+ or even heroic raids! It’s truly becoming a widespread problem.
Soon we won’t even need healers for mythic raids. It’s quite the slippery slope.
In most content healing is braindead and those healers will get carried but the moment Blizz starts to put heal checks in dungeons it causes an uproar because people don’t like to wipe because the healer can’t keep up.
They know what they did.
Is this you?
From my experience since playing WoW in 2005, healers take the brunt of blame due to the failures of others in areas such as mechanical awareness, avoiding damage, lack of crowd control/interrupts, and low damage.
In the end all roles are responsible for the success of a team. If any of the above mentioned areas are lacking, pulls will last longer. Longer pulls leave more room for failure due to lack of cooldowns and sustainment. Repeated sustained pulls wear a group down resulting in deaths and wipes.
Almost every key wipe at 14 to 15 range was a result of either lack of CC/interrupts, overlapping CC/interrupts, or low damage, usually combo’d with not avoiding avoidable things or lining things that should be lined (like Overpowering Roar or Quench in DFC). Mobs eventually focus cast on a player and 1 shot them, which further exacerbates the problem since now you’re behind and 1 DPS down.
In general people appreciate healers and most of the time that I’ve played everyone’s very nice to me and there’s never an issue. Oddly enough the MOST TOXIC crap I see is people hating on the fact that I play Holy before a key even starts. I’ll get flamed and removed from the group before I even have a chance to play the game, which is nothing to do w/ gameplay and 100% deals with the META mentality, poor design, and player behavior.
Healers were insanely stronger back in the day to be fair. I basically solo healed ZA when it came out in TBC.
We 2 man healed Tribute to Insanity 10 man in Wrath, it was me and a Holy Pal.
I haven’t been kicked for being Holy yet, then again I’m not doing 15s and never will. If I was leading a 15 and I saw your trinkets I would be slightly worried, but eh not that big of a deal. Burin isn’t bad, but actually think about it. Once you use it, it now does nothing. You’re better off with something else.
You should read the rest of what he said.
Burin and something like bomb suit are ideal for pushing higher keys. The idea is to stop 1 shots from certain mechanics. In terms of just raw throughput, I haven’t hit a healing check that I couldn’t easily overcome. Even pre nerf bosses like the candle guy on a +15 weren’t hard to heal through, even when the team screwed up circles or placement.
Absorbs/burst heals are too good in mythic+ and I hate the one shots because sometimes I have to blink or sneeze. Idk why I still play if I hate it a much.
One of the reasons I like tanking is you can actually get hit by something and not just flop instantly. As a healer I can time 10’s but I’ll get a few deaths. As long as I don’t die on bosses we do ok
My conspiracy theory is that they want to remove tanks and healers and just make every class dps.
