Why the 180 on Rare Spawn Design that has effectively killed the last 2 zones a month in?

perhaps they wanted farming the rares in the zones to feel like mounting an expedition. you gather in town, get the boys together, study the map, then go hunt for a rare.

the word “rare” is the reason, I bet. it’s not rare if it’s always up.

That ended in cata, maybe even wrath, when you could just fly circles and wait for your addon to ding you. Then later it got even more weird cause you could camp a spawn site and hop layers until your addon dinged you.
