I mean… i have my gnome engineer specifically to make the better scope to funnel my hunter and sell them cross faction to the horde. To my knowledge that hasnt been removed so im happy.
Its a complete travesty that gnome warlocks demon form isnt a miniature version of the demon.

Yeah I’m annoyed at this change. I thought I had all my boxes checked before dropping BS for Eng. Never imagined they’d arbitrarily shut off the ability to take the specialization at the skill and level you normally can.
Bigger issue is that this only affects a tiny percentage of players (gnomes with Eng), so good luck getting any momentum behind a push to get the decision patched.
How was it OP?
Because they picked that race with the expectation of having that race’s bonuses and now one of the more important ones is being taken away and replaced with nothing.
I play Horde, but this is a completely legitimate complaint.
I picked gnome Warrior because I like the race and made an active decision not to play Human meta.
I had the “a ha!” moment about two weeks ago when I looked at my skill sheet, and promptly dropped 150 Blacksmithing for Engineering to enjoy the one time a +production skill racial bonus would actually be useful for something.
Aaaand it’s gone

And as my main is a gnome, with engineering, let me tell you that goblin rocket helmets would have been absolutely broken and unfair. You still get the bonus to engineering, it’s going to be easier and faster for gnomes to get 225 engineering to unlock the juicy recipes that entails. We never knew how they were going to split up the professions while leveling to 60 so if the only reason you picked a race is because of a profession crafting bonus that’s just poor planning on your part
