Why Sylvanas is hated and Arthas isnt?

I agree to a point. I write two troll characters and my only real long term personal experience with Afro-Carribean people is a Jamaican friend of a friend. She’s nice. She’s a vet so we talk about dogs a bunch. Can’t say I’ve any insights on the culture though.

But with my characters I try to make them, you know, people first. My Darkspear is in his late 30s, has a few kids and a wife in Orgrimmar. Got a cushy job translating Zandali for the Forsaken in the Hinterlands. Past his prime and is getting out of shape from his largely sedentary work but is no pushover.

Zandalari is a Prelate Initiate who got thrust into combat during the Battle of Dazar’Alor. His mother died in it which was especially harrowing as he was still processing his father’s death from the Cataclysm. Signed up with a Horde military foreign exchange program for his career but mostly to get out of Dazar’Alor for awhile. Too many once happy memories turned sour with loss tied to much of the city.

He regrets this though. Mostly because while his little sister is doing well in her Priestess training, he feels like he should’ve stuck around for her and made a knee jerk and selfish decision. So he feels having to walk around with the Forsaken, staring in abject horror at his rations and cursing himself for ever calling the Zoccola too humid, is a divine punishment.
