No, no trolling. They made the genders into body types, so they should make the voices types too, it’s for the complete trans inclusion.
I feel like they could do it because for awhile there the female Blood Elf voice lines were the male Blood Elf voice lines and vice versa like when you’d fall, tell a joke, etc. it was weird not that I minded like minded but still, add to it they could just add a whole bunch of what’s already in game and have it overlap your current voice lines and bam you have a whole lot of new options that fit you and your character to make it even more personalized.

Not to mention audio AI has gotten so advanced, they can easily write new lines and use AI to have it match the original voice actor, if they are no longer around or such.
Or even change the pitch or add an accent to make more voice types. AI is scary stuff.
Yeah I’ve heard some of the so called AI songs on YouTube and while some of it sounds really bad some of it sounds really good and like it could be a real song or officially released song and I’m always like wow that’s scary but cool but still scary.

The issue with that is it took killing a living person and sacrificing a Prime Val’kyr to do it. So they’d have to come up with a new explanation for that one. Of course, we also need a new way to raise undead now that there are no more Val’kyr to do it, afaik.
Basically, Forsaken need new lore. Which would be really nice. And not some sappy emo “I’m a Light worshipper who shouldn’t have died and now I’m sad and don’t know where I fit in” stuff.

I’d like to see more options for character models. The npcs get all the good stuff.
As for the voices, it wouldn’t bother me.
Maybe it’s just me, but some of the voice sounds are low and hard to hear though.
Ok heres what they need to do for our toons voices.
Lets us record our IRL voice for each toon and then plug it into the game when we speak.

The last Forsaken lore we got was the retaking Lordaeron questline, which made it very clear that necromancy as a functional practice doesn’t have to come from death magic but can be attained many different ways. People whinged about it but we’ve seen animated corpses from basically every power we know of: arcane skeletons, plant zombies, void spirits, etc. Calia being a Light zombie isn’t that wild of a concept.
So, in a word, you’re not far off from a possibility.
Personally I think that a solution to the Forsaken reproduction problem will likely come from the Maldraxxi, since they’re the experts on the subject, which I’m sure will peeve the people who want to pretend Shadowlands didn’t happen, but there it is.
