Why so much hate over high elf options

Yea, lf undead just feels like it would start ruining the original fantasy of undead being outcasts that people think are abominations when they are basically, actually the kingdom of lordaeron. Before Sylvanas destroyed UC that is.

What is a high elf?

Yeah, I’m not happy about what happened with Sylvanas either. I would love a story where they are able to go their own path–some forsaken of who were against this nonsense and, like the Ebon Blade, fighting alongside the living. Not dedicating themselves to it, per say, and being there for themselves and each other, but you know, not just corrupted/evil like Sylvanas. Prior to BfA, they fit so much better, and could have been so much more.

But “Lightforging” is a stupid cop out in my personal opinion. I hate everything about that ‘lore’ and how once again it’s just turning it into a mary-sue jumble. The only way it’d be remotely interesting is if light, in this case, was seen as corruption. Which, as we know with Blizzard, that wouldn’t happen, they’d be seen as ‘pure and perfect that can do no wrong’. Which would be used against other undead who don’t decide to lightforge, and they’d be “oh you’re evil because you didn’t become pure” nonsense.

Argh I could go on and on about why I can’t stand the notion.

Yes my unhappiness with BE customization is my personal perspective. And I would still be okay with Blizzards dev time going to any core race before jumping to ARs. That includes BEs but if they touch up on Orcs again first, or any core race it’s irrelevant to me because that is my argument and you dislike it because it opposes your stance which is very clear and is just a push for HE customization for the most part when it’s not insulting people or trying to paint people poorly who don’t agree.

And that’s a big thing for me if you as a HE fan wanted genuine support, you’d engage civilly with opinions that are valid just not your own. But you don’t, you and some don’t want support you want yes men, that’s why you’re so quick to villainize opinions that aren’t your own.

This is basically what I RP my undead warlock doing in BFA. Basically just had her take a sideline in BFA and be doing stuff with the black harvest members.

That makes sense; yeah I don’t play forsaken but I play many Death Knights and undead elves. They primarily work with the Ebon Blade so rolled their eyes at this pointless war.

Incorrect.

I dislike it because you destroy your own argument by having originally stated you wish to see “core races go first”, guess what Lann, they did.

Full stop.

You did not say “Core races go first until i’m satisfied because I’m not satisfied with this”, they had their shot and ARs come next, and then afterwards or possibly during the ARs turn they’ll add customization that you’d like to see, its a shame that instead of constantly asking to see as such, you’re instead here, trying to see ARs lose their turn and have Blizzard return to touch up on your Blood elves.

Because that’s what this is to you, Blood Elves. Don’t pretend it was about any other core race. If Blood Elves got everything you wanted but a race with significantly less customization like Worgen got nothing that their players wanted, you’d have 0 care about Blizzard “moving forward”.

I’d like to see High elf customization yes.

Difference between you and me is i’m willing to wait my rightful turn as previous stated by you correct?

Core races first? And they did go first. Lann just isn’t happy with it.

Welp, that’s that then, seeing as how pre-patch is most likely next week and Shadowlands launches 3 weeks after that, you’d think they’d have crammed in any planned changes about now, since they’ve had ample time since the last Blood elf customization and chose not.

Bet you wish you had been louder about what you’d like to see instead of crying about what others are getting. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Very very true, and I think the HE community can be portrayed so much better without engaging in this way but people are always absent when it happens (though a lot of people have too but it’s sad imo it’s still so ignored) :man_shrugging:

This kind of behavior is just a bad taste in another reason why people aren’t supportive of HE customizations, as per the OP of the thread’s question.

As opposed to the mountains of other pop up threads with plenty of support?

Especially the Void elf blonde hair thread?

Oh Lann, you really can’t help but lie constantly can you.

Only spiteful ones who hide under victim hood care about “behavior” when it comes to requests for customization, the rest just ask for what they’d like to see.

And then there’s you and the other antis who do the exact opposite and ask for others not to receive, that’s pretty shameful behavior. :joy:

Once upon a time I was sympathetic and supportive of high elf fans because they were a nice community.
I didnt want the options for the reasons I dont now, but I also wanted them to be happy.

Players like him killed that part of me.
If i think the game would be better without those options, and i don’t like the people asking for them, why would I ever support it?

The bad actor currently in this thread couldn’t have proved my point more about people advocating for HE stuff having a history of being insufferable.

I’m kind of in the same boat as you actually and I know a lot of people who just don’t like the tone of demands and supporting of poor behavior.

I’ve always been a BE fan so after awhile I get tired of the elements of anti BE sentiment which do exist, not everyone of course but enough to make me have less patience.

I feel you 100% on your reasonings for having been supportive though, and I wish people would realize if they communicated respectfully, and if they removed themself from the bubble of only seeing their concerns there may be more support.

lol and your “support” wavered because your sensibilities were damaged?

Don’t kid yourself, if you every really “cared”, you would of stopped at “it’s good for the players”, instead of “I changed my mind because how dare people be mean to me”.

Are antis really so immature that a few bad experiences places them on the side of complete vengeance towards player requests?

I’ve had nothing but toxic experiences dealing with the lore lies and anti-player mentality coming from your group and yet I still support customization for Blood Elves because it’s healthy for the game and for the Blood Elf players that don’t actively campaign to gatekeep something they never owned.

Guess that just says a lot more about petty players like yours than it does about groups in general hu? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

More is always better unless your getting shot at, so bring on more hair colors!

I keep seeing “Blood Elves are High Elves” which is true.

But Void Elves are also High Elves.

I also would outright dismiss the argument that Void Elves have received additional customization options from the Blood Elves while BEs have gotten nothing “in return.” Blood Elves started with more robust options in the first place and plus they already have features that distinguish them from Void Elves, notably their red skin and green eyes, which Void Elves do not have access to. Void Elves in turn have their hair tentacles and blue-purple skin tones which are not available to Blood Elves. I feel like the implication is that those differences don’t matter because they’re not new or something. If your argument is that those differences aren’t exciting enough, fine, but don’t pretend BEs are just milquetoast Void Elves with no differentiating options and that blonde hair would be the thing that makes Void Elves the outright superior choice. I mean if it is, the Alliance is there for you. :^)

They’re afraid of actually having to admit they don’t like the Horde.

I mean, the numbers prove it, Horde just wants to be pretty more than anything. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Like I said in an earlier post: so much of the hate in this thread is because nerds don’t like people who enjoy pretty things. People who like elves get made fun of more than things enjoyed by teenage girls. The whole thing is just nerd gatekeeping. Grow up, I say.

Maybe thats something you can correct by arguing in good faith for once.

This is how you speak to people, which was accurately captured with

Then you have people on both sides pointing it out to you.

And then you’re shocked why your experiences are not good with the people you’re speaking this way to?

I would say it sets a bad example for the HE community which does resonate with people and contributes to people not wanting to support customization requests, and I really have to question anyone who is overlooking this kind of behavior and agreeing / liking your posts, because again its very evident support isn’t what is being sought or rewarded by some within the community itself, its yes men thats what is being sought and applauded.

I’ll stop being so mean, I guess.
