Why so many Timewalking tanks wannabe speedrunners?

The only speed runners I’ve seen in TW are selling leveling boosts, it’s incredibly easy considering how broken scaling is at level 10-11, there’s entire websites with BiS gear for doing it. I’m kind of surprised Blizzard allows it considering they nerfed this in BRD raids. Also the fact it can be done on trial accounts means it’s easy to throw away accounts if they get banned for using their gold for other purposes.

That’s the spirit! You can do it!

lmao or they just wont que for the trivial content and the que times just keep going up and up.

ZF can be a bit weird to chain pull. Too many casters in a pack means a sea of totems. Could insta kill the melee. Or you get a sea of healing totems and nothing seems to die. Find the right pacing and for the love of god nuke the shadowhunters. That hex wipes the group so fast if tank went zug pull.

I had a level 10 monk tank who kept dying, because they thought they could just speed run and just was killing off the party with them.

I honestly think they shouldn’t let level 10’s in timewalking, instead they should have it at level 20 where they are more versatile.

If you want to set the pace play a tank. Otherwise sit down.

Then keep up. Not all of us want to smell the daisies and take an entire hour to do a dungeon that takes less than 10 minutes. Most people doing those are leveling up, if you want slow pulls and to survive without adapting I suggest delves and questing.

The cheese is nice, don’t get me wrong, but really I’m here for the lever. Lever-pulling speed is the best stat.

Level 10s are almost universally stronger than level 20s in Chromie Time scaling. Some classes not having an interrupt at those levels (or even a res as a healer) is a distinct flaw in the current leveling system, though.

If you keep up with the tank and don’t attack anything until the mobs are grouped then you live.

If they don’t then some mage or hunter starts pulling everything even when the healer is struggling. This coin has two sides, stop pretending like it doesn’t.

You not liking the point doesn’t make it invalid. What you also fail to see in your willful ignorance and arrogance is you are one person that is part of a 5 man team. If you are constantly ranging the other 4 members of your group, especially the healer, YOU are the problem and there is no universe or scenario where you’re not. If the group agrees to it and wants to chain pull that’s one thing. But to simply roll through and automatically assume everyone wants to treat is as some kind of m+ infinity run before people have even had a chance to blink once makes one an obnoxious tool. It’s also TEAM content not ME content. If you can’t be bothered to stay with your team, stay out of group content, it’s simple as that. Otherwise you are not the gift to WoW you believe yourself to be.

What I find amusing is people advocate for more group content because they yell about WoW being an MMO and it should be about group content, yet then don’t care about the group and only care about themselves. I honestly hope Blizz expands the follower system to heroics, timewalking and so on.

If I’m doing time walking, I’m there for time walking badged. The amount of herpaderp tanks that steamroll through 3 of the 8 bosses just to finish the dungeon is insane. If I try to kick them but they are queued with their bfs, I just let them do their thing while I sit at spawn since I can’t run through reset mobs the tank pulled but never finished off once they got to the final boss needed to leave the dungeon.

It’s a waste to not do all 8 bosses for badges and just speed run through 3 as if your parse of a time walking dungeon will net you a significant other automatically assigned to you by blizz.

It’s definitely not. The dungeon clear rewards badges and experience which is pretty routinely better than hunting down optional bosses scattered in a dead end.

Why do I want xp as max level? I am there for badges. You get more badges doing all the bosses AND getting the end reward than for doing 3 bosses and getting the end reward. Your logic is inherently flawed based purely on numbers.

You get more rewards doing more, but it takes longer. It’s better to clear the dungeon and half of the next than to hunt down an extra ten badges clearing an extra 6 packs and a boss.

Not at all. Say it takes you 15 minutes to watch some derp run 3 bosses training mobs all along the way in Zul’Farrak, vs 20 minutes to just pull ALL the bosses, You’ve only spent 5 more minutes but you’ve more than doubled the amount of badges you would have had gotten otherwise only doing the necessary bosses.

Those are some real generous numbers. Most groups and most dungeons will go significantly faster going to the end, especially in dungeons like Stratholm where half the optional bosses are in the opposite direction of the progress.

Ah yes, the ‘30 badges in five minutes is better than 60 badges in eight’ kind of tank.

You are very, very, very special tanks.

To reach the same set static number say like 2500 badges, those type of tanks actually spend MORE time doing their “speed runs” than if they just did ALL the bosses and got all the badges up front from the runs they do. They have no idea how math works and just wack thing I guess.
