If everyone has war mode off, why play when half the fun is over in world pvp?
I like the fantasy of a rogue as well as just being able to choose what mobs I actually want to fight. I don’t care to pvp much anymore, so I’m one of the many players with WM off.

the better question is why play in war mode when no one really cares for pvp?
playing a rogue is about going stealth and doing your own thing. even during vanilla/classic playing a rogue is about minding your own business most of the time. a lot of rogues like to keep to themselves and just deal with others in raid settings to get their loot so that we can just afk stealth and farm or herbs or something. LMAO
but for pvp yeah, the game isnt really pvp focused and there are plenty of options to go do pvp in instanced battlegrounds and etc. not much a need or want for world pvp.
so yeah, id argue the game would be more fun if we removed pvp and dedicated actual efforts into improving the pve portions of the game, because then we dont need to worry about balancing crap for pvp and stuff can actually be focused on. and pvpers wont have to complain about how they always get ignored or havent gotten a new battleground in 10 years or something.

As a player who spends most of my time in WoW just PvPing, this does hurt to read, not gonna lie lol. But I get it at the same time. The game really does feel like PvP is just a tact on forgotten side thing. I sometimes wonder if the game would be better if PvP wasn’t a thing at all. Removing PvP would definitely cause a huge outcry from the PvP community, but I don’t think it would affect WoW subscription numbers much — mostly because I think the PvP community is smaller compared to the PvE players.

Warmode is good for conquest crate farming.
But in non warmode you have less competition to pick pocket and find treasures as a Rogue. I think that answers your question from my perspective.
Because battlegrounds. That’s why. Best class for bgs.
Blizz literally has to make sure each team gets a rogue for balance.

i totally get it, and im sorry. retail pvp has turned into either you love it or hate it content. i grinded my Rank 14 in classic wow and that was good enough for me. but retail pvp isnt really it anymore. its just another lane in the game that either gets entire ignored or is so busy that no one can really enjoy it. ya know? like i say the same about pve though. visual vomit is a real thing. shouldnt need gladius to be a decent pvper.
