Why play as the horde?

And then BFA rolled around and the innocents you’ve killed have more then likely judged you to be put in the maw.

They’d be the ones in the maw, actually. So many innocent elf souls, roiling in ceaseless agony. It warms my bones.

Unfettered morality is simply more fun than unflinching rigidness that the Alliance offers.

Though I will say aesthetically the Alliance plate seems more robust looking than most of what the Horde scrapes together.

All my friends started playing WoW after me and decided they wanted to go Horde, so I just joined them. I don’t have a big preference either way, but did enjoy being Alliance.

Tauren. I can’t be a Tauren on the Alliance, so here I stay unfortunately.

For the horde!

it wouldn’t let me use big letters =(

Lots of people like playing the bad guys. Blizzard has also consistently had a bias toward Horde when it comes to writing stories. Not necessarily that the Horde always wins, just that they have more going on whenever there’s a difference in how the factions’ stories are handled. Horde also has a massive competitive advantage if you’re interested in higher end organized content. Not numerically from racials, but in terms of player / recruitment pools. It leaned that way over time, and it’s too late for Blizzard to fix it short of just breaking the faction barrier, so people who care about playing competitively have been and will continue to trickle toward Horde.

The horde fight the same actually bad guys that alliance does fight too, like Sire Denathrius!

What’s the difference between a blood elf or a night elf?

Horde are good guys too. They just fight against the alliance as well, in PVP.

If you’re raised in the American dream and you love the order then you pick Alliance. If you’re raised in the American reality and you’re comfortable in chaos then you pick the Horde. It’s obviously more complex and personalized than that. It’s just one unique metric I found true in a lot of cases.

I don’t like playing the game on easy mode.

So no horde for mains.

It’s really simple as to why I play Horde. My favourite races and my guild are here. Give me EQ2 style betrayal quests where I could switch to Alliance without losing my race, and cross faction play so I could still play with my guild, and I would jump ship.

I do want to play as the good guys, the people who actually have architecture in their cities and not spiked mudhuts.

Unfortunately - A majority of this game’s playerbase do not. Seeing as it’s a multiplayer game, I need to be amongst the majority of players.

Why wouldn’t you want to play as Horde, they have those big strong Orc and Tauren ladies.

Orc hot zug zug

Because the Horde has Trolls.

Trolls are the best.
