Honest question really, coming from a Feral main for 10+ years.
Why would someone want to play a rogue over a druid? Seems their survivability is lower and yes you can transmog on a Rogue, but what else is there?
Am I missing something? Id like to try a rogue but not sure since I already have a feral

because…they’re even worse?

I don’t think Feral survivability is meaningfully better than Rogues. At least if all the Ferals who jump me only to get killed are any indication. Also Rogues have 3 specs. Feral is a spec so there isn’t a much variety in your stealthy murder fantasy.

If you’ve been maining feral for 10 years, surely this isn’t the first time you’ve had this thought…is it?
What do you expect anyone here to say that would be helpful? It’s not like you’re brand new and confused. You’re a 10 year vet who clearly likes feral.

Feral in PVP is a little over tuned but their survivability isn’t better than Rogue. I would give Feral a slight edge with CC in PVP over Rogue but barely.
So when Feral is tuned own at some point they are going to be back to where they were IMO. The staying power of Rogue is the tools along with the DPS and stuns in PVP.
Just look at the patch notes for 11.0.5 right now, not a single bugfix, or any improvements for Deathstalker or energy regen… the thistle tea change is ridiculous. Clearly there is zero effort put into rogue class from devs.

Didn’t read the entire thing but Rets pumpin currently and they got a 6% damage buff.
Rogues dead

I like what the stealth + pick pocket gameplay loop is supposed to offer.
Supposed to.

I think it’s a little more than just a little overtuned lol.

Two reasons… race availability of rogue is way more diverse than Druid. Also, Rogue is among, if not the least played class. For some reason that attracts me to it.

It’s because the skill ceiling is very high for Rogue, personally I tried being a Rogue and talked myself out of trying because I hate how my fingers hurt after every arena match.
Rogue is a dance, and I suck at dancing.
I wish they brought some SoD stuff into retail and brought Rogue tanks over. That would increase its popularity so much. A tank that can stealth?. The late mmo Wildstar had that and while the game is gone it was yet amazing.

True, true but I think BlizZard will make adjustments. Lets hope they don’t nerf Feral to the ground.
I think it’s a combination of their bleeds and stuns, often when fighting against a Feral if their focus is on me I’m nearly always stunned.

Because, I can’t whip out a pistol and fire 6 shots into the back of a low health player’s head as they run away as a Feral druid.
It’s honestly satisfying and funny to finish someone off with a volley of pistol shots.

could you imagine being able to use blade flurry as an aoe stealth opener. rogue wont have to hold back and can finally get uncapped aoe, the rogue, who is in charge of concealmeant is also the tank now. really though rogue tank is more viable than ever in this stage of wow. they just need to do it.
granted, as a rogue player i to like my name being at the top of the dps meter. so i could see the potential backlash. but idk man being able to go crazy with blade flurry and evasion become like a dodge finisher sounds pretty tough. we wont have to worry about the risk of killing spree if we are a tank also. get recuperate back so we have more than just vial for self sustain, reposte and ambidexterity actually become giga huge talents.
its almost like its meant to be.
I’ve played both over the years and frankly been able to achieve more on my rogue than my feral. Ferals just feel so clunky every single time I log it, mainly due to shapeshifting. It just adds a layer of complexity on top of already complex gameplay which I don’t like.
Rogues can be both simple and complex with changes in gameplay between each spec, something you can’t get with feral. Plus they play alot more fluid for me compared to a feral.
