I get that, I’ve unsubbed a few times over the past 15 years. But reality is, the forums constitute so little of the player base, and sadly it’s just become a big ball of negativity. I follow their twitter, and I can say the view points expressed there by the player base are so much different than what is presented here. Heck even I know if I want something answered the forums are not the place to come to anymore, and as much as I want to blame Blizzard for that shift, I can’t.
If you walk away and decide not to come back, that is perfectly ok. Thing is, I have friends who swore they’d never return who are loving retail now again some 10 years later. It’s ok to fall out of love with a game, it’s actually normal. Take the break, and if you find another love that’s cool. But sticking around purely out of nostalgia is not the best thing for you, and it doesn’t show the devs that you are not loving the game when you continue to support it by paying that monthly fee.
