Why Not Make the Game Better?

They arent going to force people to play. If you want to play classic youll play classic. They arent updating it because its not meant to be updated and changed. More people can play it if they want, but they obviously prefer retail or dont feel like leveling again.

Blizzard expected there to be an initial launch surge of players who would quickly drop off and lead to stable vanilla-like populations. They made many posts and discussed these expectations extensively.

Have you already forgotten about layers?

if they did OSRS style and needed like 70% approval 2 things would happen. alliance vote wouldnt count, and it would become more like retail. so no and no.

realistically there are a few classic+ things id like to see, enhancements onto wow classic and fixes that were originally just dev oversight issue, i get it.

but as is the game is good enough and it doesnt need to be “better” because better for some isnt better for everyone and it would defeat the purpose of classic wow which was to give us back the same original game as it was.

Lewis Carroll called it, I suppose, and probably many people before him: when the people you’re trying to convince don’t want X, and you really want X for everyone, many people will prefer to redefine X rather than acknowledge that they don’t have it.

“It’s not a change, it’s a tuning! An improvement! A refinement!”

No. It’s still a change. You cannot have a change that isn’t a change. Have the honesty to scream that NoChanges people should be murdered like Apocalypse rather than trying to Humpty-Dumpty the language like this.

(Disclaimer: Please don’t actually call for anyone to be murdered.)

This isn’t a new release. It is supposed to be a place where we can retrace our steps through a period of the game that many think fondly of. It is supposed to match that experience as closely as possible.

We want the people that begged for this for the last ten years to get what they asked for.

Becouse i dont want retail, i want classic, that was what we petioned and fought for years for…

Its easy to list a few changes, but every one have changes they want, not everyone is you, and sorry but i seen people like you ask for changes and ruin classic into retail…

Im not alien to a classic+, but that is a entire difrent thing, and would be something blizz brings or goes down to TBC… but classic will still be here, warts and all…

Because TBC…

id be happy with a classic+ alongside classic and the players can decide which one they want by logging into it. heck even offer free migrations one way into a new classic plus.

Well, eventually horde won’t even be able to get into AV. I guess you all want that, so have fun.

They’ve already made changes that have lead to a giant mess, so without more things will just continue to get worse. But don’t worry, you can keep saying #nochanges.

You are free to play what you want in classic, roll a alliance, its not like people dident say there was going to be ques…

How are any of those things retail? Retail has absurd BGs ques and faction imbalance… like what we have now.

I think you know exactly what i mean, do classic have flaws, and broken stuff, yeb lots of it… but that was what we asked for -“warts and all”

I intend to. Can’t have people that Classic was never intended for drop by and give it a makeover to fit their own tastes. That path leads to retail.

Problem is EVERYONE has their own list, and they all feel just as strongly as you do that the things on their list would only “improve the game” and, just like you, none of them “see a reason not to do these things.”

But current Blizzard cannot be trusted to figure out which changes would be okay and which ones would ruin the game. I mean, these are the same developers that created retail WoW, on purpose, and think it’s great… so they are obviously bad. We don’t want those people jacking with this game too much.

It’d be like handing a paint brush to a monkey and asking him to improve a Picasso painting. He would almost certainly ruin it.

You’re two points above contradict each other. In the first you saying “You should be allowed to premade BGs!” in the second your saying “You should only be able to partially premade BGs”

Which one is it?

Because nothing is gained and que times would get worse then they already are for Horde.

I could stand behind this under the contingency that you could only move from Overpopulated Faction → Underpopulated Faction and not vice versa.

Because it would take significantly more than just itemization blance to fix the issues with classes. So it’s a mute point.

why not go to retail?

  1. Posting on a retail toon.

  2. Asking for QoL

  3. Crying about balance

Looks like another filthy retail player who just found out LOL RET is real. Just leave us alone and go back to retail.

Part of the vanilla experience was a steady trickle of Rerolls/alts of one sort or another keeping the low level content alive.

The irony of retail toons mocking no changes.

I can’t even look at you right now I’m so disgusted by the sight of you.

That’s mainly because blizzard made way too many servers for the tourists, plus we are in a content drout, only new thing added since launch are pvp rewards, and only a small % of players care about that. When BWL hits classic numbers are going to skyrocket, then die down after a month until P4 or whatever the next big phase is. Such is the cycle for sub based MMO’s.
