Why no haste?

Can’t wait for this next patch to roll out because I have no one to play with or do keys with and I’m not one to play with strangers (mock me if you must, I still don’t give A !@#$) SO MAYBE i CAN FINALLY PLAY THIS GAME SOLO and get some decent gear by myself. That and in all the ten years of playing I have only accumulated around 11k ach points. I am a casual, first and foremost.

So in an effort to try to pivot towards something useful: How can we mitigate RNG?

  1. Pray to RNJeebus.
  2. Reps. So - many - reps. Find ways to pull the handle on the slot machine more. Spamming M+, with the keys as high as you can guarantee timing, is how I do it at the start of every tier.
  3. Consistent grouping. You’ve gotta run with the same people (and characters) for a period of time so that the luck (and lack of) can even out and the lucky people can pass their loot on to you once they’re set.
  4. Armor stacks. Get groups that heavily favor your armor type. If you have money and want someone to set that up for you, I’m your man.

I feel your pain man, I really do. Two of my azerite pieces were bought at the specific item cost, and the other was traded by someone who didn’t need it. I’m drowning in 415s that can’t beat their socketed 400 versions, and so much poorly itemized titanforged crap.

Thanks man I appreciate your help

I find that blood sacrifices help. The dark gods are fond of fresh hearts.

I get so lucky with mog runs and things like that but when it comes to actually gearing a toon I seem to get the bad end of the stick when I run anything, although I don’t run things often at the time being because the game feels off

Is there a particular race they prefer? Are some class’s hearts more likely to spawn certain gear than other?

Hobos. Im told the despair is better than salt.

Warlocks, on the other hand, guarantee high versatility warforges with a leech proc in a slot you’ve already got higher.

That seems to be another issue too. So many azerite pieces are just not high enough to replace mine.

Welcome to the BFA(and legion and WOD) slot machine. Gone are the days when you could know what was best for you and target specific content for the gear you wanted. Ion felt it wasn’t exciting and dynamic enough. So now we all win, because everything’s interchangeable and unintuitive. And by win I mean lose.

On an unrelated note, unbridled ferocity doesn’t stack, you need to reforge your azerite.

Damn it I thought it did

Also, all my gear is focused towards fury but I switched to arms so maybe stuff isn’t correct, but also also it definitely in part is a lack of knowledge

I know, it’d be great, we’d be drowning recklessness with rampages that hit like dump trucks. Are you familiar with simming? If not raidbots.com can tell you which traits YOU specifically will get the most dps from with your gearset. Their Droptimizer can also help you find the best sources of upgrades. So much easier than trying to remember all this stuff.

Nooooooooooo! Come back, we’re better! Seriously we do more dps and 2 swords >>>>>> 1. I’m in no way biased <.<

Oh no believe me friend I effing LOVE fury but I also am having so much fun with arms. Also, I do sim my stuff yeah. /simc, ctrl+c, raidbots, pawn string. Love it.

Actually I think that is how I’ve managed to get around 15-16k DPS simmed in fury at 380, idk how much now that i’m a bit higher. I’ll have to run that real quick.

Yikes, pawn string? Use the top gear function, and you can select every piece of gear you’re considering using and every azerite you have available and get told exactly what your best setup is.

Yes I use that but what I use the pawn string for is to put it into pawn to see what pieces of gear are upgrades to the previous.

Like when I get a new piece I mean.

I gotta stop double posting like this haha my bad.

You can add being a blizz shill to the list. I got 3 bis items from my chest this week.
