Raids continuously get nerfed during their main patch…
OP is just talking out of his … all over this post. It’s amazing.
Mostly because expansions, classes, and spec are balanced around characters having a certain amount of stat. Having an extra tier of stat (crit, haste, mastery affects procs, rotations, GCDs and how specs feel), which also means classes below that threshold feel worse to play (regardless of the numerical values)… its why end of legion is the best the game has ever felt, scailing got way out of hand (in the Devs opinion, not mine I think it was great!!).
Do you genuinely not understand how stats and itemisation progression work or are you just discounting it because its not important to you?
Asked and answered above, as gear ilvl increases its not a linear increase, many specs have feedback loops for stats which change the pacing and feel beyond simple do X more damage (think about how torghast used to scale power - how one player scaled in torghast didnt affect another but if that power can be used in other gameplay modes like it can from Mythic raiding thats the problem - it bleeds into other game areas, though obviously not as much as torghast I am using an exaggerated example).
They can have cooler stuff thats fine and thats why I think it should be cosmetic, there should be better rewards for doing harder content, give mythic gear kick ^(* effects and models.
Its the negative impact to my gameplay I don’t like. If the rewards are cosmetic only, it doesn’t impact how my spec plays or how content gets designed to account for those extra power levels being in game.
Because it’s an obnoxious fight.
While I don’t mind a hard fight, mythic ras is on one of those levels where it becomes more frustrating than fun when something goes wrong and it quickly spirals out of your control. And some of that is pure rng, like which side gets breath first, do your no-root-break classes get hosed over with charges, etc.
Also just in terms of comparing, the expected pull count for M ras was more than double the combined pull count of every other mythic boss in the raid. Combined. The gap is insane.
That would be a fine arguement if
- Break points and diminishing return were not a thing and they are
- Content wasn’t tuned to for the appropriate ilvl and it is.
- Open world content also falls into the 2nd category
If you play any other MMO this happens towards the end of every raid tier. Content gets nerfed and they move onto the next.
It don’t matter about raiding numbers it’s getting nerfed cause surprise I see many guilds who are raiding 7/8 H.
Who cares about nerfs at this point? The raid tier is almost over. Anyone who wanted to kill Rasz in an earlier version of the fight already has. Let the stragglers have her.
I also doubt Mythic raiding will be touched. Blizzard literally yeeted the most popular raid configuration in the game to prop up 20 man mythic.
Not that it affects me, frankly I don’t care what they do with mythic. It may as well be deleted from the game and it wouldn’t affect 95% of the playerbase.
They are nerfing the final boss as we’re in the last couple of months in the the season. It must mean no one is playing.

I have many characters and I LFR every week with one of them.
I only do Raszageth to finish the quest and never again. I have to set aside at least 2 hours of time to kill this stupid boss because it takes so much time because nobody know the instant kill mechanics and don’t bother to do a little bit of research.
I personally would like to see all LFR mechanics nerfed 90%. Most people are there for the story, not the gear.
Should’ve been nerfed earlier.
I joined a few pugs this week for just raz, and it just seems like people lose their minds on this fight. Like forget how to play wow.
Makes sense. Raz is pretty hard on heroic.
I mean if they are going to do that, they might as well delete it and just move all story elements to single player scenarios.
It’s proof that for the last 3 xpacs players have relied on significant passive power to kill bosses. Players have spent the last 3 xpacs complaining about having to farm passive power.
It’s gone now. If they don’t nerf bosses into the dirt, how do players expect to kill anything? Get good?
On Mythic it takes 200+ pulls to kill her the first time and half of those pulls are just getting through P1 because there’s so much overlapping AOE damage going out that people fall over and you can’t make the dps checks. Then you have the annoying mechanic where 3 people were getting rooted instead of snared so only certain classes could deal with it.
Reducing the damage reduces the required pull counts for 1st time kills.
they were tuned around borrowed power though lmao
sepulcher was one of the most difficult raids of all time and we had borrowed power, so I don’t think it’s that
Why no nerfs to Raz in LFR? So unfair to us casuals.
nerfs to lfr raz? i went in did once for quest and surprise no in there really knew what going on and killed in 5 pulls but it needs nerfed?
LFR is supposed to be easy street as is so i doubt there will be nerfs to that one, that said if i raid anything this expac it will prob just be lfr level, lol
It would be interesting to see how many people do the raids broken up by the tier.
I bet that LFR is by far the most popular raid tier. So deleting it would be stupid in bliz’s eyes.
If that LFR was dropped, this player wouldn’t “step up” and do normal raids. I would not raid at all.
