Why must I PvE to do better in PvP? šŸ˜”

I primarily only pve. I dont care for pvp. Since, you know, its a side game as some have said.

I was just responding in general.

Conflict and strife (bis) is a pve essence that is gated behind PVP only activities. This was done on purpose to get people to spend time in PVP activities to increase play time, not enjoyment. Yes, pve players were forced to do it if they want a spot in a raid.

lots of people care that enjoy that content. For the majority of the life of the game, gearing through PvP was fine. No reason it canā€™t continue to be that way.

Except at lower ratings (which most people who post here are) gear is not as important. Like Iā€™m in the 1500 bracket rbgs and thereā€™s a mix of well geared and low geared players.

You came to this thread to say that? You have wasted our time and yours.

People are just weird. I dont know if you are trying to be edgy or you just wanted attention.

Said this elsewhere but a problem with this approach is the barrier to entry is MUCH higher than getting into higher levels of pve. Far smaller pool of players and far more focus on ā€˜1700 ratingā€™ etc.

Not unsurmountable but Blizzard hasnā€™t helped the competitive pvp side of the game get much attention over the years.

I dont know what you are trying to say, but I respect your right to say it.

Iā€™m putting m+ and raiding on the back burner this week so that I can farm blood of the enemy. At some point Iā€™ll probably end up having to get the 1k rating to rank up my conflict and strife. I meanā€¦are you serious?

Um not really. Maybe for Alliance thereā€™s a small pool. Horde side rbgs are very popular and some yolos (a good starting point) have low ilvl requirements.

Gear is still important to be people who are learning or starting out at lower ratings. It creates an unnecessary divide.

In wrath, many players complained about the hurdle to above 2200. The weapon was so essential that player who got to 2200 early in the season made it difficult for newer players to progress.

Since gear is such a huge factor in PvP now, the disparity of good and geared players vs new and undergeared players is substantial. Many of us who didnā€™t like templates would much prefer that system to the current one.

I did indeed. I will not miss a single thing about essences either.

Itā€™s really not in BGs though. Arena, yes. But arenas shouldnā€™t even have gear matter at all.

It was pretty clear. You a PVEer came to comment on a PvPers thread. Only to post with ā€œI Dont PvP.ā€ So why make a post on this thread? I mean I donā€™t comment on PVE threadsā€¦ Why? I do NOT raid.

Teens trying to be edgy I guess.

Iā€™d definitely say thereā€™sā€¦ moreā€¦ of a hurdle. Pretty much anyone in the player base can rock up into a low mythic or normal raid. You can easily gear up from daily chests (to 445 at least). Rated pvp is kind ofā€¦ buried by the game on both sides with far fewer guilds focused on it than just running keys or maybe creating a raid group.

Your mileage might vary tho!

I mean, technically you can run a bunch of 2s and get to higher rating for better gear. Just find one person. If you couldnā€™t gear through 2s then yea, youā€™d be right as 3s is pretty comp dependent.

This is the general forums. Not the pvp forums. Youā€™re going to get everyone responding because at the moment the way things work everyone has to do everything to remain competitive. I personally donā€™t have a problem with it to as I like to do both from time to time, but if you donā€™t want pveā€™ers to post you should probably stick to the correct forum.

PVP hasnā€™t always been pillarā€™s that changed when pvp went the Ion route. New templates mean you live forever, healers have 100000000000000 hp, and tanks are immortal.

Absolutely wrong, thereā€™s too many people like you on these forums 1000s of posts but know nothing and post like you know everything.

Arena since inception has been primarily geared through pvp sets earned through pvp, irregularities like using a particularly strong set bonus or trinket or weapon were not the norm for most of wows like and it certainly was never close to 100% pve gear and special trinkets like it is now.

I think itā€™s because youā€™re actually bad at PvP and Blizzard is telling you to git gud.
