it’s true
I posted the video because brighter said I would break cc on that boss. So I merely sat on penance so as not to break cc
I watch moad all the time. He is cool. And if you said something in chat that annoyed him and got banned, I would relish it.
Who would care about something like that? Am I living in your head rent free or something? lol
If you must have the history behind the video here it is.
On Binklewink I posted in the priest forum asking about the fox. I saw dps were not ccing it and it costs a few groups a depleted key. I simply asked if fear worked. Or what other priests were doing about the fox.
And then Brighter chimed in saying I probably broke CC.
So I made a bet with him. I offered six weeks game time to him if I broke CC in a run vs him giving me two weeks if I did. He declined.
I then posted the video showing it was very easy to not break CC.
There is the history.
Nobody asked for anyone to post the video here. And nobody asked to post it without permission. Nobody asked why the video was even made in the first place.
It was just posted by some random in an attempt to discredit me, which I laugh at.
I was in a guild with brighter, tbh. He was very rude, just like he is in forums with snide remarks. I left the guild because of him. He told me lies just to get me to raid on disc vs holy. I did not want to heal disc in raids because I lacked experience healing disc outside of m+.
The guy makes me mad, okay. He annoys me to no end.
no, you left the guild because you failed your trial because you couldn’t stay alive. which you responded to by posting a thread in the priest forum asking why disc priests die more than every other spec in the game.
when that suggestion was ridiculed, you responded just like you did here and in every other thread you post: “i’m rich. i’m a genius. everyone but me is an idiot. why won’t people play with me???”

No. My parses were fine. I left voluntarily because the guild was not very good, with the exception of one hunter and Brighter. But Brighter is not nice. The hunter is a cool guy but they gave him a hard time. As for me, meh, my main is in a guild that is 1000x times better and where the people are nice. My #1 alliance alt is in another guild where the people are also super nice and actually value me for my healing in M+.
nice, i’m glad to hear you found a guild.
Meta is a cancer, specifically when it grows to take over everything. Making content that requires 100% meta in the first place is a bad design choice period, precisely because of what we’ve seen: Meta then becomes the norm, and then as in every genre where it rears its ugly head, meta eventually takes over everything else, even things that don’t really require it, mostly due to people peddling it as the “one true way” to do anything. So you have people in a +5 who will demand the same meta classes that you might use in a +20, despite a +5 not needing nor caring about meta.
It’s a huge problem in games, and one that gets excused and defended and never curbed.

It’s true. It’s like Yumy, the healer guru guy says: Play what’s good.
The problem with that philosophy is some of us just dont want to play the FOM class.
And sometimes we just move on or quit.
In fact, that is the whole point of my original post. I simply wish Blizzard would drop this half-rear end effort at class balance so the rest of us could play what we liked and get in on the action.
The bottom line is some of us quit. And that is bad for the game because lost customers means a lower game development budget.
Not sure what you can do though. People seem very adamant about having “meta” stay in the game.
What content is made that requires meta? Outside of clearing the new raid in 2 weeks or mythic plus 28s

Any balance that has literally all 36 specs represented inside the top 0.1% is decent balance in my book.
You see, Nobleshield. Guys like Avel here, they will fight to no end to discredit every argument that stands up for class balance.
They don’t care if the lack of class balance is killing the player base. They just want the status that goes with playing meta and care nothing for any scrap of evidence suggesting it is a bad thing.
It’s basically status at all costs to these pro-meta guys.
Feel free to list literally anything that requires meta outside of gameplay that less that 0.05% of players would do. Im happy to wait
Dont think I ever said anything to be “pro” meta lol.

But you play meta and fight against anything that suggests it is a problem!!!
If “meta” were a woman you would get down on your hands and knees and beg it to marry you and stay with you faithfully till the end of time!
It doesn’t matter the percentage. All it takes is for people to see the 0.05% pitching that meta is the only way to do something, and they’ll follow suit. That is what you seem to be missing. It’s not that meta is REQUIRED outside of top percentile gameplay, it’s that people MAKE IT required for content where it’s not required because they see/hear the 0.05% extolling the virtues of it.
Perception is all that matters, not what it actually is. 99% of content can be cleared with whatever spec, meta be damned. Yet how many people will believe that or not try to do meta anyway because that 1% ‘Needs’ it?

Right and what could literally any game company do about that other than make everything the same or make 0 challenging content?
I don’t see the problem here. The idea everything HAS to be challenging for the 1% is stupid in the first place. Make it adequately challenging to the average, and screw the two extremes.
I dont disagree that the top fraction of a percentage shouldn’t be catered for which is why I think that balance is more than good enough. Only difference is I think that when content is able to scale up like m+ is then it gives things for them to do too which I think (selfishly) is a good thing.
What level would you cap things out at if you had the magic blizzard wand?
