People do not want to pvp if there is no reason to do so. That is evident based off of server faction statistics. Having a random alt on a server against 99% faction doesn’t matter and is nothing more than a meme. You aren’t really “playing” on the server, just kinda trolling when you’re bored. Your imagination of being some ninja killer wpvp god in the modern day classic is just that. Imagination. Killing someone at the summoning stone 4v1 isn’t really valuable wpvp either
Props to you, Lazarak, for giving an answer the one asking the question is unwilling to provide.
Their alt is Ally on Benediction, no wonder he thinks wpvp is dead and I think he is trolling or deliberately lying about no wpvp on Grobb since his stance is that wpvp is dead.

What if you’re the 2 against the 4? Cause that’s fun and satisfying to me. Or what about being the 1 against the 2 and coming out on top? Never gets old to me.
Common sense arguments are nonsensical. Of course common sense cannot be taught because it doesn’t mean anything. People have different anecdote from your own and you need to learn to live with that. You will never live in a world where everyone agrees. You realise you are making assumption about other people’s experience in the game? You assume most alliance player enjoy the current form of world pvp they are in. You assume they are staying on faerlina for that form of world pvp and not for another reason. You assume that there are more people who like that experience than people who dislike it because you yourself claim to prefer it.
I don’t mind if I am wrong and I could be wrong. But I sincerly doubt there are alliance frequently having epic pvp battle on faerlina. I wish the alliance would capture the 3 “towers” in hellfire peninsula to instigate some epic world pvp battles sometimes. Again my own anecdote is that early in tbc on Netherwind those tower would be contested by each faction and there would be world pvp there. But as the server became more and more unbalanced those tower became always alliance controlled and you’d never see horde fighting for it. But of course it is because I am too bad to do it myself I know. And I am the one who is obstinate and do not care about other peoples opinion. Not you.
I also love how you love to classify people and judge them according to that arbritary classification. Truly a good way to judge other people’s character.
It is funny how you actually didn’t care to mention compromise when I said I am open to it and continued to offensively “debate”. Do you really care about compromise? I’d like to also add I do not see this as a debate. This is just a discussion where you state your point of view and I state mine. I am not trying to win anything here.
I don’t play, grob is under a different set of rules for itself, as it is an RP server. Anywho, I do not care about world pvp in tbc, because as I stated there is no reason to do so. I loved world pvp (guild v guild) in classic because there were reasons to do so
Removing rival guilds world buffs gives us reason to actually seek out that type of pvp
I sold devilsaur sets on faerlina in classic, which provided endless wpvp 24/7 in ungoro, because there was reason to do so.
I rank on classic (wether I rank high or not depending on irl situations) because i like playing against other premades. I played in the classic summer bowl and placed 3rd
So you can’t try to argue I don’t like wpvp. There is just zero reason to do so, so instead I’ll play with the high pop servers, because the meaningful pvp is actually BGs and arenas.
Why is that? Because there is reason to do so
wut?
For you
ok have fun enjoying 2 forms of PvP while I enjoy 4.
Okay, have fun
I think WOLK with some changes is necessary if we are to continue this classic run to other expansions. Literally is WoW but we have the option of not repeating the same problems.
LFD has its benefits but I think it ruins social interaction, especially the incentive to find a guild. Saying that… new tools to find guilds are necessary and help to fix the dead population servers.
One big pro argument for LFD is the current bulleting chat addon, it is horrendous, but as I said a new tool in the middle where not all is automated (travel, replacing a not optimum class, conversation) is necessary.
It’s not in classic so you don’t even need to worry about it.
And can you please tell me how bulletin-board and filtering through 95% of its contents being Boosts / GDKPS and tanks and healers selling their services is so amazing for interaction? Should we really sacrifice so much quality of life that worked so well for the 12 million subs it garnered to preserve the social interaction of “inv(x∞), 123, go, ggs” ?
Dungeons are a means to an end in terms of preparing for Raiding, you still NEED a guild to do any of the end-game content, there is and was a strong desire to be in a guild in 3.3.0 and onwards so this doesn’t make sense
Learn how to read, I said bulleting chat addon is horrendous and a new tool is necessary but I considered that is not LFD
Eliminated world pvp? These people just want to go to dungeons. You mean they disallowed you from ganking them when all they wanted to do was run a dungeon?
Wotlk had dungeon finder and therefore classic wotlk should have dungeon finder
Battlegrounds killed wPVP. I’m glad I could resolve this misconception for you.
Battlegrounds combined with dishonor kills to be exact
They will die and go in The Chokey and they will love it cause they chose a PvP server.
Mwuahahahaha
Theatre kids.
LFD is so stellar in every way EXCEPT making instance travel obsolete. That’s one bad thing about it, granted, but it’s also like the only thing. Unless you’re against efficiently finding groups, which if you are is probably because finding a group won’t be hard for YOU for whatever reason.
Removing it is just going to encourage boosting, in fact if you look at it in many ways boosting, of all things, will be it’s direct replacement. Something that costs gold and doesn’t let me, you know, play my character, where do I sign up for that? /boggle
