Yes FFXIV has better looking models …but that has resulted in a community that amounts to the Lion’s Pride Inn on the server Moon Guard.
As such as a roleplayer FFXIV does not interest me.

Female gnomes are represented in WoW as extremely intelligent and mature. They do not show any of the characteristics of what could be considered ‘loli’. They’re just a small fantasy race.
Honestly if you want an example of a Loli race in a video game, take a look at the Elin from the game TERA. They’re designed to look like Loli characters from the ground up and their existence honestly turned me off that game entirely. It’s extremely creepy.

Oh I’m sure we have people in WoW that are into that as well (I mean, we have OP in WoW). It’s just as disgusting with the one difference that WoW graphics are less realistic. Doesn’t change the underlying thoughts but there’s that.
However, if someone made a post about sexualizing female gnomes cause they look like little girls and was praising that WoW makes that possible I’d react in the same exact way.

Yea that’s another difference, you’re right. Though I’m sure people who sexualize gnomes probably don’t care about them being an intelligent and mature race. It’s still easy enough to ignore.

Actually, to be honest, I’m a part of those… networks, let’s say, that like to create more sexualized art, including lewd content of their characters etc, and gnome art is rare, really rare, compared to other races (the most popular, no surprise, being Draenei, followed by Night Elves, Blood Elves and Humans). Whenever I have seen gnome art however, it’s always drawn without any child-like traits. They try their best to emphasize the mature nature of the character (to make sure they don’t get accused of creating that type of stuff) They’re essentially just drawn as small humans with four fingers instead of five.
Now I’m sure there are some creeps out there who do draw their gnomes like children, just like I am sure there are some creeps out there who roleplay their gnomes as human children etc. That’s creepy and wrong, and anyone who does that and then decides to go that extra step and make that art or roleplay sexual in nature has a special place in hell waiting for them.

Yea same goes for women sexualizing them. Though guys, just make up your mind on that point. You’re usually all saying there’s only g.i.r.ls in games and now that it suits you women suddenly actually exist in gaming.
But either way, women sexualizing them is as disgusting and you’ll not turn this into a “mimimi she said men are the only ones doing this, she’s being sexist” post. The behavior is disgusting regardless of sex, gender, race, religion, culture, ethnicity, nationality, language or any other parts of people’s identity I can’t think of right now.

That game hates foreign ip’s on US servers. Can burn through vpns. And the singapore servers to have better english support didn’t give me warm fuzzies on the inside. So…no FF14 for me.
I went back to eve though. I can do the same 30 things daily like SL. But at least I get paid well to buy stuff. If RNG doesn’t give me that pith module wanted in 20 runs I make the isk to just buy it.
Grind the isk to just buy I deem as earning it. Sort of like how in tmogs hunts here at some point I go 100 runs made me x gold gold, the mog is on sale for x gold…so I just buy it off AH.
It was earned, just in a different way lol. Nothing except for some of the 18th anniversary skins are BOP/soulbound as well so it has that as well. I like sharing the good gear between alts. saves buying some expensive crap twice lol.
I tried to play it. I hung in until about level 45 and called it quits.
I didn’t like the anime stuff. The dungeons were ultra simple. The music got really irritating. It felt I was constantly having to wait on loading screens. You could not walk anywhere in the main city without hitting a load point.
I did like the questing and storyline but it wasn’t enough to keep me interested.

It’s not often I run across gnomes at all really lol
