Seriously is this why Blizzard is so stingy with regular XP? So they can create “events” to hand it out?

Really man? I can level 1-80 in like 4 hours these days. Back in my days…
Yeh back in the day it would take weeks for some people to get to max level.

I have no problem leveling. My point is that people are actually excited for an “event” that gives them xp potions. If XP is so easy to come by (and it is) then why would people be so excited about a 10% or even a 20% bonus?
How is it even a thing to have an “event” for xp? Just seems like hype for hypes sake.
Regardless of how fast leveling is, so long as it requires any time whatsoever people are always going to be excited for something that lets them do it faster.

My IRL friend hit 80 in Retail recently. He is a Classic Andy and guess what, I’m proud that he even hit 80.
He wanted to unlock the races, so all he did was race unlock quests and he hit 80 like that. I didn’t pressure him into spamming dungeons, I wanted him to do his thang, even though I could’ve carried him on my tank.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that XP doesn’t matter. It’s the content that matters, ten fold for new players.
New players are looking at the story and over all game more than your average M+ hamster. M+ hamsters only care about dungeon instances, they are zombies basically.

See I actually think normal leveling is so fast now that I don’t even care about the event.
There’s nothing I want to level so I am not going to rush out and make use of the bonus “just because.”
If I decide on something a few months from now it’ll only be a few hours of time probably one little mini marathon session on a Saturday night.

Motorz, it’s a feel good potion. It buffs the xp amount from mobs kills a small percentage which in the grand schemes of things is a small amount. The vast majority of xp in this game comes from completing quests.

LOL when did the op start playing this game? Leveling is so fast in this game now compared to legion that it’s pretty much not even worth talking about. I had like two max level characters in legion lol. I got one from level 10 almost to Max level over the course of a day and a half now. There’s nothing wrong with the XP level in this game literally at all
They’ve made it unbelievably easy to level even without the xp bonuses from the warband achievements and xp events. Do you just want to start at max level? Would that be fast enough?

The only issue I have with the event is that you can’t get these really helpful satchels without doing DF and/or TWW content. I would much rather spam Classic dungeons to 70 than the boring slogs that are DF dungeons.
I hate TWW dungeons, too, but at least I only have to do them for like 10 levels.

No matter what the baseline value is it can always be modified for an “event”. What do you even want?
If you want to level up fast, do each of the Delves at Tier 1. They give out over 80K XP the first time through on any Tier.

Because for a lot of us, weve leveled 100 times. Om characters i cant remember. Leveling at all is miserable. When it can be less miserable, i jump at the chance.
Mostly just psychological
you want to sell something for $100.
You dont price it $100…you mark it at $150.
Everyone wants a deal. Even if its meaningless.
They talk you down to $125 and in their minds they got a better deal, even if they didnt.
They talk you down to $100…or you say “you know what, Im in a good mood today, how about $100 instead of $150?” and theyre dancing on the moon believing they got a steal.
Youre right…leveling now is really fast and that 10% XP bonus isnt a big deal…but it makes us feel a little better about it anyway.

I have never once seen anyone refer to xp in WoW retail as “stingy”.
Because some like leveling even faster?
I took my feral druid out to the Brackenhide area with the ten million low health gnolls in Azure Span and just started swiping and thrashing like a mad man. Tons of XP with all the bonuses, and all the boosted stats from the random potions you get helps keep you alive.
