Might be a bit of a out there take but why doesn’t warband gear match the ilv of the content and drop at far higher rates?
I love to play alts but the mid game always drags on for me. Why not make warband gear far more powerful and far more plentiful?
I guess I don’t understanding why there needs to be so many gearing phases for an alt.
Yeah that system is extremely disappointing. The other day I disenchanted a whole bank tab of warbound gear cuz it was all way too low ilvl to be usable by any alts, I used maybe 10% of the warbound gear I found. When that was announced I was hoping it would be way more useful than what we got.
Warbound gear is rare? I’ve started disenchanting items because they take up so much space.
I’ve started mulching the stuff for enchanting mats. Maybe that would change if it was champion gear like the delve I got it from.
A fresh 80 can visit the anniversary event and outgrow any warband gear really fast.
I mean more in the sense of powerful and valuable gear. Personally I would like to see mythic and heroic track warband gear both exist and be much more common respectfully.
My ideal would be after a month or so of playing I could seamlessly move on to a fully mythic alt and pick right up where im at.
Me: recieves over 30 warbound pieces since launch, with most being veteran track.
You might need to actually do content to get warbound gear.
Im not familiar with veteran gear that caps at… 619?
That is barely high enough to start the content I enjoy.
Veteran gear caps at 606.
Warbound gear drops a tier lower than the content you’re doing. If you want Champion warbound gear, go do Heroic. If you want Hero warbound gear, go do some Mythic raiding
Right… I would like it to be at that level not below and ideally drop far,far more often. Its not a “imma hold my breath till it happens” kind of thing but it would be nice.
One of the worst things about makig a alt is the slog of doing 8s and heroic again.

Unfortunately Mythic raiding drops Champion track Warbound gear only. I wish it would drop Hero track.
Yeah i have a bunch of the gear but its all leather or cloth. My 3 main toons all wear plate. Tbh the delve guy you cam buy a full 580 from is far more useful.
I’ve gotten a ton of WB gear… well, I’ve gotten a ton of WB cloaks and cloth gear… I play leather and plate classes btw.
Warbank just full of garbage that needs DE’ing at this point.
I have 4 80’s and was able to use 1piece of gear I’d collected.
Most drops have terrible stats anyway.
It’s just not going to happen for several reasons, the main one being it would make players play the game less. Less time played = less money for company. Not to mention that this has been by far the easiest expansion to gear up alts.
We don’t need people running around at 619 ilvl while having barely pressed any buttons, as most people (boosters aside) at least know how to press their buttons in a mostly correct order by the time they hit that item level.
For all we know, you could be dogwater on that alt that you warbound up to 619. Polluting the already infested raider pool with even more numpties.
If you’ve already done the content on your main, I don’t see why said content can’t drop war bound gear of the same ilevel as the content your main has completed.

I don’t mean to sound harsh but is that a real issue…?
People who play harder difficulties are usually around that skill level and barring drastic changes in role stay at that level.
A mythic raider be a mythic raider even on another class and a heroic raider much the same. Ironically by having warband gear drop from said content you solve the problem of people not knowing how to play " polluting" the queues.
I also think having two or more characters who can do the content for your skill level adds more time played then slogging though tedium to get there.
Yes, it absolutely is a real issue. There are a disturbing amount of people this xpac who fall well below the tank in dps.
Are all of those alts of raiders? Of course not, but it is adding to the problem
However, the real reason this doesn’t exist is the first one I listed. You know, the money one.
