Play something else if you don’t like Unholy.
Play something else, don’t ruin what Unholy has always been for people that actually love the spec so you can enjoy it as an alt for 6 weeks until you move on to your next class.
I miss the old unholy that was more about diseases and popping wounds with a pet sidekick that was limited to utility only. These newer iterations about getting out a ton of pets and juicing them up is just a reskinned demo lock. That already exists. Why have the devs taken this direction when it already had a unique identity?

When was this? Legion? When wounds became a thing along with Apocalypse that summoned a bunch of ghouls?
It’s mainly so that blizz won’t have to make a necromancer class.
I’m not joking thats the main reason people kept asking for it so they just tell everyone we got one it’s the unholy dk they are your necromancer while having diseases and wounds which i hate the wound system but it’s easy enough to play around just annoying.
legion/bfa. when the ghouls were irrelevant. the big pulls were super fun and haven’t been the same since.
But they werent. The shamblers were cool but didnt proc enough, the main ability of the artifact weapon was summoning more ghouls, dark transformation still with the perma pet at the very least. The wounds were more potent then but that was about it.
I would expect a permanent pet in a ranged class like necromancer, with dk I would hope to evoke undead during combat, as with apocalyspe but used more frequently to evoke in smaller quantities, but with permapet I don’t think it’s bad, but I would like a different abomination depending on the pet glyph used, by the way what is the meaning of the apocalypse rune enchants the sword and the pet that receives the bonus, it doesn’t make sense to me.
