Considering the amount of time he spent on The Maw intro quest, 53 seems to make sense. Now he’s probably going to hit level cap in the middle of Maldraxxus, and complaining about so behind on renown.
Right now. They have far more valleys than they do peaks.
He’s basically become a husk of himself. Gave up being war chief, gave up Doomhammer, stopped training and was rotting away in a hut.
Try getting a retired wrestler that in his 60s and pit him against himself when he was in his prime.

Because with Shadowland lands scaling, Thrall knows it’s easier to solo legion content in his low 50’s rather than being max level.
Chris Metzen is only 47, so there goes that potential theory…
I thought that was warlocks. They take one look at the logs, see that one spec has good dps, and say “Well, warlocks have no problems! In fact, we might need to destroy Demonology later!”
That isn’t Thrall.
It’s a sad demise of an otherwise amazing character who showed great lore potential

He and Baine are just sitting on the step in Oribos like two little kids that got yelled at by their parents, lol. He’ll have lots of rested XP to catch up.

It’s how far into leveling and the time gated content he got before saying screw this nonsense and is sitting it out.
They did he and Saurfang dirty.
As a kid I looked up to both. My friends and I read all the Chuck Norris parody jokes attributed to Saurfang, and Thrall was the first thing that came to my mind when I thought “Horde”.

He did his potential, and then some. It’s time for Thrall to sit in his rocking chair on his front porch, reminiscing about his glory days, or trip over his carpet and break his hip, and spend the rest of his life in the hospital.
He locked his xp so he wouldn’t have to grind pvp and mythics to be powerful again.
Because its activision logic, and they effed up the level squish.
He’s was lazy in leveling for Shadowlands. He needs to get on it.
