Only a couple of days ago i had a 170mb patch which required 380mb of “initialising” and that took over an hour and a half. Now its doing another patch with another 380mb of initialising.
I’ve tried the scan and repair tool, i’ve tried setting the launcher to admin mode but nothing seems to work. Im once more initialising the SAME thing at the same 1980’s speed. What is going on? like i need an actual legitimate fix that doesnt require computer savvy. Preferably some means of eternally removing this need to redo the same 90 minute “patch” every 2-3 days

Same boat as you brother.
I have 200mb a second download speed with my internet, and it’s taken me an hour to download 108mb of a 135mb download, make it make sense.
I made a post addressing this and was basically told to just reinstall the launcher and delete the associated folders.
It didn’t work.
yea, same issue.
currently initializing 302mb, probably going to take at least 2 hours. My bnet patcher seems to patch iin the kb/s range and seldom goes into mb/s. Makes larger patches literally take actual days.
its making me run another one of these tiny updates today, 302mb initialising and its going in chunks of 0.0x mb every second or so
The patch it’s applying is either saving into a directory with corrupted permissions or not downloading properly. In my experience, the only fix is to wipe out the folders and reinstall.
