Then Blizzard doubled down on the ‘you can tell the class instantly’ by the garish outfits.
Hunter was always the last inimplementation. I guess all the other colors were taken.
Tbh i think DH had the weakest one, the chest piece sucks and the rest just looks like a Legion tier set.
So exactly what i have described. The pattern of people wanting flashy and obnoxious things to seek attention and stand out because they’re in love with themselves. 
Guess a ton of animals are narcissists.
tbh hunters have had some of the ugliest sets going all the way back to vanilla

Be grateful that there’s transmog. That way, you can create whatever look you want. There’s enough bits from different sets that can be pieced together, and with enough imagination, you can look like the Hunter you want.

I totally agree that armor set is fugly. 100 years ago, when my old Guild was Raiding Blackwing Lair, I was the first Hunter in the Guild to have a full Tier 2 set. I felt like an idiot running around with that purple armor. That armor combined with the bight multi-colored-oversized crossbow that drops in there made me want to change classes (no transmog back then).
However, I dont think it’s the worst set in the game. By far, ANY armor that drops in Temple of Ahn’Qiraj looks like it was designed by a 3rd grader.

Hunter sets have been incredibly cursed for 20 years - one of the few good ones is Nighthold and that is pretty much explicitly elven ranger armor (also what elf pandering? The only elfy tier sets in 20 years have been like… Sunwell, Nighthold and Amirdrassil? For a class whose defining abilities are 50% Tyrande, Shandris and the Windrunner sisters?)
