Except not all of them/some have already changed their minds. specifically the Scarlet Priests that join the conclave. And from my understanding she is the one Calia is talking to:
Mariella and co. defected in Legion. It has been more then several years since Legion. If you are still in the Crusade by this point, you are either a hardcore veteran that will not defect after a decade+ of being in the Crusade -or- a new recruit with an entire decade+ worth of knowledge on what they’ve done.
As I said-
Guys guys, I totally found one single crusader that Calia is talking to! Totally means the rest aren’t murderous pyschopaths. The same ones we beat not too long ago and drove away from forsaken and gilnean land!
Which…is a take I guess.
Or they might defect with a few more losses/if a new path is shown to them.
If the Eredar can change and actually walk the path of redemption, then everyone can change.
We send a second one to her during the Arator quest, so it’s two now! Note that she only does this because we beat the crap out of her and she doesn’t want to die. Real strong convictions on that one.
Them trying to redeem the Scarlets is just lol. Go away with that. They can let Calia lead them though. Get her away from the Forsaken at least.
At this point Blizzard doing anything with the Scarlets is just awful.
No one’s about to forget the reclamation of Gilneas, the most shoe-horned use of the Scarlets to date. They really should just let them die out already. Their story has been told, re-told, re-re-told, re-re-re-told, and it hasn’t been getting any better.
I’d rather we had some Lok’osh priests at the Sunwell. I know, strictly speaking, they don’t really use the Light, but at LEAST it’d be some Orcs present so the Kalimdor Horde doesn’t look like they don’t care.
We killed them back to their last about three times. It’s hilarious at this point.
Its funny you’re either a true believer in the scarlet cause or you joined knowing full well you were joining religious fascists and torturers, No but calia can totally do that, she wont lift a finger to help the forsaken against the scarlets but she will move heaven and earth for those very scarlets.
Since forsaken players SUPPOSDLY hate her, should be happy that she’s doing something away from the forsaken and horde in general
Or is this another case where she’s horde, so she must do horde things even though everyone claims to hate having her around?
While yes i am happy that she is doing something away from the horde, its clear the writers still want me to like her but they keep refusing to make her earn it.
At this point there really shouldn’t be any original Scarlets left with how many times we’ve wiped them out. I’m sure they’ll still make up a guy who was totally there from the beginning, but it’s hard to believe any original Lordaeron citizens still live in the group.
Weren’t the Scarlets joining the Red Dawn? At this point, if there are any left, there’s only two outcomes for them. Either they leave and join with the Argents as Calia’s friends, as shown by her interfacing with them.
…Or they join the Red Dawn for that future content where they ally and become shock-troops for the invading Arathi Empire for us to butcher in response.
Either way, they’re done. Update the Scarlet Cathedral where the Forsaken have taken it over and converted it into a proper Black Basilica, for the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow. Park a Bronze dragon out in front if people want to run the old dungeons.
And if it has to be a dungeon to be updated, then just populate it with Scarlet Ghosts harassing the new occupants.
What’s her face from the maw confirms its death.
Honestly, this statement feels like it sums up the majority of the Blizzard writing team devs — in a nutshell — these days
…
That’s bad enough. But the fact is that it also is about Alliance Leaders and characters. It’s not like they are showing Horde leaders and characters from any perspective
So far I’ve only done Housing content on Beta so I wouldn’t know how many characters showed up from each faction to defend Silvermoon but from what I’ve seen it seems that there are many Alliance groups there.
All those groups make perfect sense in my opinion. Silver Covenant elves have always come in the defense of Silvermoon whether they like the Horde or not so that’s no surprise. Same can be said about Void Elves. We see how Thalassians are fiercely protective of their lands.
The Army of the Light are there because they are supposed to be the best counter to Void but it just happens to be a mostly Alliance leaning group.
Forsaken are their neighbors so I’m surprised they are not the bulk of the frontlines.
So, while the Alliance presence is more than obvious given the situation there is no excuse if Blizzard doesn’t start showing more Horde cooperation as we are dealing with an invasion to a Horde major capital.
But You’re right that, leaving the first counterattack aside, the rest of the Horde should start sending their troops to a point where they are actually visible. Taurens should be the first helping them investigate the Lifebloom problem. If Night Elves are needed they can come later but only after Taurens have had time to asses the situation.
Darkspear and Zandalari Trolls should be handling the Amani conflict acting as mediators.
Edit: I posted it from my phone and for some reason things got scrambled but the idea is there…
That’s the biggest thing about all that ‘redeeming the Scarlets’ nonsense.
Scarlets who are Scarlets joined the Scarlet Crusade willingly.
It’s not like they didn’t… They actively accepted, adopted, and pursued that fascist, racist, and hateful rhetoric.
Or you know some of them were simply born into it. The Scarlets are an organization that has existed long enough that various SC have probably had kids of their own and raised their kids with Scarlet propaganda all their lives.
That’s YOU.
