Why is the Horde not protecting Silvermoon

But we dont need a thousands chief

Small elite groups to make the city diverse would suffice, a bunch of deathguards, a bunch of kor’kron, stuff like that

In these quests especially, not sure if you read them, but you face the void itself. We’ve been facing them since we kicked off TWW, something that the Horde leaders were definitely aware of.

Then we can use Oculeth to get people there discreetly.

You can tell I’m not buying this excuse. Especially since they get people across the globe fast all the time when they need to do it.

Oh. So the invasion has not kicked off? We’re still at the story beat where Xal’atath vanishes at the end of the Manaforge raid and we don’t know where or when she’s showing up? Yeah, she’ll attack Azeroth eventually, sooner then later everyone gets that, but the only advance warning we know about for now are the visions from Vereesa? Which Silvermoon may or may not consider trustworthy?

Good to know.

And hey, if the pre-patch does have the Voidstorm fully formed over Silvermoon you have a point. That should probably be enough time. My guess though is we’ll probably be running around other zones to deal with smaller incursions. It takes less time for Blizz to set up and they can play that as Xal being cunning and having the factions rushing their forces all over the place and she can wait until we’re nice and dispersed before going after her real goal.

No and in this invasion in the beta she’s not there either. She is not present even after the portal opens. She’s only there for the part we see in the trailer.

But there is a huge portal in the sky, you can tell that they are invading once they are. And the quests themselves have us communicate via holocrom. We have Oculeth, Magisters, and even Alonsus Faol that can port people. It is going on when we reach Silvermoon already. So in that time you can’t go contact the Horde and have Oculeth get them here? BS!

It’s more than visions.

You made up a reason why they can’t be there except they could if writers want them to be there and it doesn’t make sense when Thrall is still at the last time we see him in the same place as we are when we find out that we need to go to Silvermoon. It comes from the 11.2.7. quests. No one can just go over the the Stormrook area and make him aware? Gazlowe, Voss, no one that was there in TWW end up knowing?

That’s as lame as the excuse that the Horde couldn’t be in K’aresh because Thrall doesn’t know Locus-Walker. Except I didn’t know him either until I met him on Argus. The Horde never gets informed of that? How dysfunctional and stupid to write the Horde as so unaware of major things it’s members take part in, lol!

Just knowing what happened in K’aresh and in Dorn should be enough.

You’re overlooking some critical points. If a large force couldn’t be teleported, they could have sent a small strike team or even a few individuals. The fact that the Void Elves and Silver Covenant are present after the invasion suggests that other Horde forces could have made it there as well. Maybe the patches, but I really dought it. They said the same thing in TWW that horde will get screen time in future patches. We never did, the golbin zone’s story revolved around an alliance goblin.

The idea that they couldn’t port a large force is made up anyway.

I like the idea of not teleporting large forces, as this would just ruin the story over all.

the endgame portal scene from dragonflight kinda ruins this whole thing you could send just handful of named characters, but i guess that would take away whatever nonesense they are trying to do with velves and helves. If the horde helped it would show elven unity wasen’t needed so they work backwards and make them not show up.

I don’t even think they are doing the elven unity thing anymore. At least not for the story as it’s seen so far. And last I saw they said they had dropped it. But that was in a video they deleted because the quality wasn’t great. So I have no idea what they are doing.

But I’m definitely not into going around with Umbric and Arator and killing Blood Elves.

Khadgar opens a portal for Alliance/Horde forces ON ALTERNATE DRAENOR to field a small army for their garrison and campaign.

There is no reason but “not the story we wanted to tell” as usual.

The Horde also can instantly show up to Zandalar. Just not here apparently. A small army of zombies, the weather, or something keeps them away, lol.

oh i agree, vereesa and umbric have straight up says they aren’t moving back to silvermoon and want to found their own cities. But i do think that this was the case very early on in production and they pivoted but didn’t think to include the greater horde.

What makes it even funnier is during the starting expac quests, we go to Hammerfall as well. So you can’t tell me that they aren’t aware of what’s going on.

It bums me out to not see any Horde either and I think it’s bad writing. But to give the in character reasoning some slack it was called out that the forces who show up to the isle of Dorn were the 7th legion and KorKron and Maghar who were already mobilized in Arathi

and the horde have plenty of forces in easter kingdoms who could just go to silvermoon

Frostwolf clan, the forsaken, the maghar in hammerfell, they just dont want to use then

He did it in BFA.

Jaina has did it in what, five different expansions, the first of which being wotlk.

If Jaina can do it, Occuleth can. Full stop. Cannot be denied.

Because they need to force the faction conflict narrative by having Alliance/Alliance-centric (i.e. Arathi) forces throwing their weight around and generally being jerks to cause tensions to rise.

That, and they don’t want to give any attention to anyone but belves on H-side, seeing as how they have Liadrin of all people leading us peacefully through Zul’Aman, the homeland of the people who tortured her and killed her family (and are making Arator an honorary belf by retconning his upbringing).

That’s what I figure, anyway.

I feel like they could have done parallel story and had the story end up the same with tensions. We could have gone around with Salandria and her unit and you all could have gone around with Arator and Umbric. Salandria is side quest for some reason though.

Could’ve! But that’d be more work and it sounds like they’ve put faction-specific quests out to pasture since BFA.

Too bad in the horde we dont have ANYONE that could deal with the Amani TROLLS, that could help easy and de-escalate the situation and eventually create a bridge between the two people

NOPE, its not like the horde have the darkspear tribe of TROLLS and the ZANDALARI EMPIRE OF TROLLS, who are, still technically, above in hierarchy of the other tribes

NOPE, NO TROLLS IN THE TROLL ZONE

GOD, THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING PAID TO WRITE AND THEY DONT KNOW THEIR OWN DAMN GAME

Jesus Christ blizzard, hire me, i can work for 1/4 of what they get and i would fix your lore in 3 days
